Once Great
Grenelefe was once the home of the PGA Qualifying school. It is now a shell of what it once was! The lay-out is awesome and South course is quite scenic. Course was very green and rye grass has come in well. Greens were relatively smooth but very slow. Fairways in good shape and traps okay. It is out of the way, however, the price is very good.
tee off
Your course was very nice. The greens and fairways are perfect.
However, I believe you absolutely need to cut the tee offs
Reasonably priced course
Fairways are in better shape than usual. The greens are very slow due to over seeding and will be fine in 3 weeks.. If you are looking for a bargain priced course to play this may be it but the greens are too slow due to the. over seeding but should be fine in about three weeks. The pace of play was fine to-day.also.
Will try again ...
Greens were great; fairways were okay but could have used a trim; tee boxes were not in great condition and needed a haircut. Staff VERY friendly. Pace was rather slow. Decent track ... will try again. Fair value.
A lot of potentiel
Course conditions are so so, fairways and greens are ok, rough is very bad long and weeds everywhere.
Same for thé tee boxes, bunkers are bad. On the good side the layout is great and challenging, pace was very good.
For thé money it’s a good value, but they need to put a lot of money in that course. Cart paths and buildings are in major need of renovations.
Unbelievable!
This course was so much more than expected! It was so much worth the price!!
Saturday outing
The course was very fun to play. It has been along time since I have played it. The fairways are coming in nicely. The were good but a little slower than the east. It was fun to play. A good time was had by all. It was nice to remember the way it was. Great course.
Fun Day.
We have been to this course several times since January 2018. The course has really dried out. The green rye grass is all dead now. We still had a fun day and enjoyed the hamburgers in the Bar. Staff always friendly. Will go again and try the East course.
Greenlefe -- A walk in the park gone spoiled
An interesting layout that could be a really nice round of golf with the addition of some grass seed, furtilizer, sand in the bunkers, grass on the tees, fairways, rough and greens. I can see that there must have been quite a heyday for this place and it seems to me that an ownership that cared could, no should bring it back. If the current owners are not goung to do it, they should sell it because it could be a gem but right now its mostly a pule of rocks.
Poor Conditions
This is our home course, since we live on the property. The dry conditions on the property have deteriorated the course, so badly that it is not pleasant to play any longer. The only green grass seems to be in a 10 foot radius around the sprinkler heads. I would not waste your time travelling here; or , waste you money to play the course. We played with another couple who said they will never come back.
Descent course a little dry some easy some tricky holes
Relatively short course out of the way. Depressed property making a comeback. Great for the money had fun
