Best day of our golf week. Play South Course
Amazing course. Plush green (rare in January) fairways, awesome plush greens. Iron shots stick. Nice rolling greens. Requires lots of strategic shots over water. Saw lots of bird life and beautiful homes along some fairways with very beautiful floral gardens that add to the overall golf experience. Not the longest holes but would play there everyday and be happy because of the quality of the course. We played the 18 hole south course.
Out Dated
Where to start. They need to put money into this course. The tee boxes need more see. Fairways need more seed. Need more sand in bunkers. This whole golf course needs a rehab. It could be a nice place. I have to say the cart guy named Vee made my day . Got me all setup and even drove me over to the first tee. That's class.
Grenelefe South
The course is in great condition, and the play was fast and fun. A group of four let our group of two play through, still some golf courtesy out there. Nice friendly staff.
Great course - lots of fun!
Grenelefe South has it all - beautiful landscape, challenging holes, including some of the best water obstacles I have golfed! I highly recommend this course. You can't beat the value!
Nice course
First time we've played here and it was a bit out of the way as we were staying on international drive but it was well worth a visit. The staff were very friendly and the course was a nice layout with a few quite tricky holes. At the first hole it looks a bit rough but if definitely gets better, my only criticism would be the looks around the course are a bit dodgy, apart from that I would play there again.
Poor general condition
Course is not well maintained and is in shabby condition. The Pro Shop is poorly stocked and its overall appearance is tacky
great track to play
couse was in good shape and the layout works well for doglegs etc. Nice track to play as well as the East cousre.
Golfer Ron
The round was a very good round. Only thing preventing me from excellent rating is two little things. First the holes haven't been cut or moved in a few weeks. The grass was growing strong into the wholes. Bunkers haven't been raked in a while. The new winter rye grass is growing strong and they were hard packed. the last thing the 19th hole the bar tender didn't seem that interested in serving us or anyone else.
First time at Grenelefe
All in all a very good golf now value. Course conditions were OK.
Interesting course
The first 3 holes are a bit bland and I thought it was just another flat Floridian golf course. However after the 3rd hole the course became really interesting and challenging .there are a number of challenging tee shots over water. The greens are undulating but true and in good condition. All in all I really enjoyed the course
Good course
Course in pretty good shape. Some challenging holes. Would play again
Great value for money
Very pleasant surroundings and some great holes. Played here twice this holiday and will definitely play next time I'm down here.
Challenging fun course
We played early before the rush. Greens were a little slow but challenging. Wide open but plenty of traps.
Like this course!
Beautiful course with lots of green and well kept. Only bad thing was the 2 hour delay due to freezing weather but was well worth the wait. Definitely would recommend.
Nice Greens
I was a single and they paired me up with a good group. Played 18 holes in 4 hours. I wish I know not to wear blue jeans , I thought they would let you because it was 45 degrees.
Grenelefe South
The course is in pretty good shape, fairways sparse, greens fuzzy with damage on a few. Club rules a bit much as with the cold weather people were turned away for only having jeans to where. Most Snowbirds do not pack a lot of long pants for the winter.
After our round in the bar at 5:00 pm. we asked if they were open and the response was, "sort of".
Draft beer shut off but I really thought, "What does it take to turn it back on", especially when there were other people in the bar.
I guess we were keeping the staff from going home.
Better luck next time, perhaps.
morning the best
played at 7:00 great time to play, course is in great condition a specially greens. very nice staff.
Greens good but fairways condition poor
Course not well maintained lots of leaves on fairways, grass on fairways sparse, bunkers full of leaves and debris, not good sand. Greens were good but needed cutting. Glad we didn't pay more than $20.
