Course was well manicured
I played the South course. Prior to playing, I had heard horror stories about this course and I found them to be totally unfounded. I found the course to be in very good shape with the only negative being some grass in the sand traps. However, the sand was soft and very playable. The fairways were in great shape and the rough was a little thick like it should be. The greens were excellent, though a bit on the slow side. After all the negative comments I had heard about this course, I was shocked at how well it looked and played.
Grenelefe South
Condition was good, greens were slow.Bunkers heed some work.
Good course
Course was in better shape than expected. Greens were in great shape but very slow. Overall enjoyed the round and would definitely go back to replay!
Finally Got to Play Here
I have always wanted to play this course and I'm glad I did. The course was in great shape considering this is winter season. The greens read true and were pretty fast. The rough could have used a little more winter seeding. All in all I had a great round and will be playing this course again.
Nice course
Although the weather didn't cooperate, the golf course was in great shape. Grenelefe had gone down to the point of almost closing in the past and it still shows on some of the facility but the golf courses appear to be well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and my son and I will definitely play there again.
Good greens
Greens generally nice, some a little slow. Rough is rough. Fairways decent.
Like South better than East ..... South a little more challenging.
It's getting better!
The south course is improving. The fairways, if not lush, are pretty good, tee boxes are in great shape, and the greens are clean and true, although a bit slow. The starter is the cart guy, and when we got our cart, he took our ticket and told us to go whenever we were ready. There was already two 4-balls ahead of us. That needs to be addressed.
South Course - not as tight, more forgiving than East Course
12 noon tee time. Greens are the best shape I've ever seen them even though there were crab grass on them still. some areas on fairways damp otherwise fairways were pretty well carpeted. Roughs were cut down so errant balls could be found quickly. Some tee boxes not in good shape, needing grass. Bathrooms on course not maintained. Best hole is #8. This is not a course w/ 2 nines, you play straight 18 holes before you return to clubhouse. All in all a far superior quality than the East course. Would place in same category as Lake Orlando GC, Wedgefield GC, Kissimmee Oaks GC, & Northdale Golf & Tennis Club. I would recommend this course w/ the hot deal price only.
Greatly improved
We played on the South Course and found the greens and fairways to be greatly improved from last year.. looking forward to playing on the East course
