South course has a good layout and variety of holes. The course conditions were OK. The pace of play was a little slow behind a tournament.
The club house needs an update to todays standards. I golfed with a regular player at this course who advised that the course went through a bankruptcy a few years ago and is majority owned by the owner of Westgate properties, David Seigel.
I enjoyed the layout but I didn't know where to hit on a couple holes. The greens held the ball nicely and putted well.
Good Course to play
This course offers an interesting layout and has been a favourite of mine when visiting Florida. Good pace of play, green condition are pretty good except for a few greens. Based on the price this course provides good value for money.
We had to start late as they were out of carts. They know how many carts they own, and how many members with privately owned carts are scheduled to play. This is not rocket science.
Perfect
Course in good shape.A couple of greens need a bit of tender loving care. No cart service on course. Need to bring refreshments with you .Finishing 9th hole nowhere the canteen service.
Grenelefe South
Enjoyed the layout and some of the challenging holes. This was the first time to play it and we all agreed that we would definitely play it again. A hidden gem for sure. Will probably play the East course to see the difference.
SOUTH
This is the second time in a week for playing the South course...enjoyed it..pace was a bit slow as a foursome in front that wasn't very good held us up at almost every tee box..took 4.5hrs to play..still a good day to be out..greens were moderately slow, but decent..fairways decent..restroom at the turn smelled a lot like an outdoor privy, not real clean, but not horrible...check in guy and cart gal were both very pleasant and helpful...was a great day to play
Good value
Better than average conditions for money. Better than any of under $50 green fee courses in area.
I have played this course several times over the past few yrs...the greens were in very good condition...fairways a little rough in places...tee boxes average...didn't get any roll to speak of due to the fairways being a tad soft either from rain or watering..we were behind 4 men who were behind their 4 wives...waited a little to tee off but not long...did course in 3.5hrs...I was with a couple from PA..pace was decent for courses down here...I hope to play it again before I head home...didn't do anything club house food wise, so don't know anything about it...
Condition
The condition of the golf course was good, fairways, traps had plenty of sand , the greens were a little slow, but did not have any burnt spots on them.
This is a typical golf course were the practice area is close to the first tees, It would be nice if we could get a small bucket of practice balls with our greens fee purchase.
Great day on the golf course
I would assess the condition of the course as follow: tee box are in fare shape, fairways are in very good shape and the greens are in very good shape except for a few greens that have some issues with dead grass. Bunkers could use a little TLC but based on the price I paid for the round I was very satisfied with the overall condition of the course. The layout is challenging And the pace of play was excellent. I will sure go back and play a few more rounds during my stay in Florida.
Great course for price
Played south course. Very fun to play and each hole had something new and different. Recommend to all.
Okay
Fairways in tough shape. Greens ok. Decent layout. Not a bad course for the money.
Great design - poor condition
South is a great design - no holes alike. Interesting and fun to play. Course is in poor condition. Appears not much money is being spent on course maintenence.
