Brookside Golf Club - C.W. Koiner Course

This course is located in my neighborhood. I hardly ever play there because of how difficult it is to get a tee time. I usually won’t even use their range because they allow people to monopolize the hitting mats for 3-4 buckets of balls in a row and allow others to share and hand of mats to their friends. This last Sunday got there 45 minutes early and couldn’t warm up on the range because of this. Regardless, once the round started, we were backed up at hole 2 through 18. The round ran 1 hour and 8 minutes behind. No Marshall had any solve or put in any effort to help the issue. When I brought it up he said there was nothing he could do. How about asking people to pick up the pace and/or pick up their ball after 6-7 strokes? Plan on a 6 hour round + at Brookside. Plus, ball marks all over the green, sand unrated, tee box in bad shape. No etiquette at all. Wow.

On the number 2 course Nay holes 1 and 18 have the temporary RoseBowl parking which is concrete with sand gravel. I drove my tee shots down the fairway but had to play the second shot from the rough. Hopefully they’ll cover the parking lot with grass. Other than that everyone that works there are very nice and helpful.

Staff was extremely rude. Basically no manners and no class whatsoever. Would not recommend to anyone.

barren spots in fairways that was used as car parking for rosebowl events. greens somewhat bumpy, pace painfully slow at 1pm start time. Barely beat darkness got cold quick

Course used to be in a better shape during peak of covid with Rosebowl being closed. But, the course is going down hill now. 2 teams ahead of had 6 people playing. No marshal around. Took 4:15 to finish 12 holes. Barely any fairway grass. Green starting to get bumpy. Will not return for a while.

Beautiful course. Wide fairways that I like. Greens are in great shape.

This course was beautiful and well maintained. It is however punishing if it is your first time playing. We had not played since they redesigned the course and this new course really forces you to be precise.

Playing at Brookside is fun , they pair you up with other players if you want, which is nice. The staff very friendly to your needs, the pace of play is ok if you play early.The golfers ate nice., if you are a single they let you play thru so you can keep the flow of play. Had fun and enjoyed the company.

I went to check-in and the staff was very friendly gave my key to cart and I proceeded to course, the Marshall asked if I wanted to play alone or with someone , I told him it didn't matter so I got paired up with two players, had a good round and we played the course in good time. 31/2 hrs .

Played 18 on wed at 6:30am. It was pretty chilly but finished 18 under 4 hours with 4some.

The staff were friendly , checked me in and gave me my cart key. I proceeded to the Marasall who said I will be paired with two other golfers,which I didn't mind,we played the course in 3 1/2 hours.Had a good golf game with the two golfers which my day because our pace of play was good.overall course was good and pace of play good.

Awful all the way. Don’t want to play there for the time being.
