True Golfing Experience
Want an amazing course for the area. Yes, it is a little pricer than most in this area but everyone who enjoys golf should give this course a try. Plan to get there early, maybe 45 minutes to 1 hr. There is a practice range and a putting green. Greens are different than most in the area but the putting green is spot on, so plan to spend time getting your feel prior to your round. They roll pretty true and probably a little harder surface than Typical. Course is impressive and challenging. It is scenic and watch out for Divot and Duff, the two Bison on the first hole! The club house has a very stately feel like a western lodge overlooking hole 9 (island green) and 18. Call in your food order after the 9th hole tee box. Food choice is a little limited, but the dagwood sandwich was hearty. Highly recommend everyone trying this one out in the area if you are a golf advocate.
Expected a bit more
Great layout and the bison are cool. Didn't know until we got there that we were stuck behind a tournament. Between that and cart path only (which was the right thing to do given how wet it was) it was a 5.5 hour round. Stonelick markets itself as a premium course, yet there was no beverage cart, no one at the bag drop, no ranger and no starter. I don't get charging a premium price for a very average experience.
Good layout
Nice easy par 4 to start out and then the course narrows from there. To play well you will need to bring your accuracy off the tee.
Good amount of varying elevation changes throughout the course.
The 9th hole has a great island green. Manageable par 5's that allow for you to go for the green in two.
Good overall course but I could see the daily rate being a little too high. Seems to have a good amount of members that play daily.
Beautiful course.
February in the Midwest is tough. Course was in amazingly good shape given the time of year. Staff was super friendly. We'll be back!
Best local track
If you haven't played stonelick highly recommend
You do best layout in Cincinnati
Best course in cincy
Course is phenomenal, always in good shape, best practice facilities, flat tee boxes.
A must play
This is one of my favorite courses in Ohio. Is has such a nice layout of par 5's, 4's and 3's. There are plenty of tee boxes to suit your level of play. It is a very challenging but fair layout. Good variety of water hazards on some par 3's and 9th and 18th. Its in great shape for Ohio in November.
Stonelick Hills
A little to expensive to play often but still a very nice course
Great shape
Nicest public course in area. Second to none. Great clubhouse and challenging holes.
Great Course
Course is in great condition. would definitely play again
Nice Track even in January
Went on golfnow and found a hot deal and used my promotion code to be able to take my dad and brother to play at a great price. We were able to get the first time as well which was great because we play fast golf. For January the course was in great shape. The greens ran reasonable and pretty true, (I made a lot of putts from long range to medium range so I am a little bias). It was path only but I was still able to play the ball down without issue. The layout is fun and the 9th and 18th are two great finishing holes to each side. We finished the round in about 3 hours and 15 minutes. I would recommend this course.
An unknown GEM
I have played a lot of golf all over the country...Scioto, Muirfield Village, Pelican Hill, OSU Scarlet, Monarch Beach, Greenbrier, Homestead(Upper Cascades and the Old Course), Pinehurst, Boca raton, etc. This is one of my top 5.
If you are disappointed in you experience here you are a sad individual
Why isnt this course in the top 100 publics?
This the golfers version of 'field of dreams". Its out there but when you pull up and get on the property it feels special! The design is one of the best I've ever played with every hole leaving a signature feel. It is a fair layout and friendly off the tee which makes the round fun. The bison off #10 are a cool touch and the clubhouse and staff are great! The range is top notch so get there early and warm up. I've played about 25 courses on the Top 100 and Stonelick is better than them all!
Last Hoorah!
My foursome loves this course, however due to some of the highest public course green fees in the area, we usually only play it in late fall or early spring when the rates are reduced. We were fortunate enough to catch a nearly 70 degree day in mid December, and even though it was a bit soggy ( cart path only) conditions were still pretty good. Our only gripe was that they took away the tee markers (except for blue tees) . So we just had to kind of figure out where to hit from. This course deserves its rating (number two in the state). Next season we plan on treating ourselves to a round in mid- season!
In great shape
Doing work on the second green but everywhere else I in great shape, very playable still this late in the year
Remote but worth the drive
Beautiful setting and design. Showing late season wear. Greens were very firm. A bit expensive but worth the price.
Great track and facility!
I was looking for a highly rated course in Cincinnati area and found Stonelick Hills. I am glad I did. It deserves the number 2 rated public facility in Ohio. The conditions were immaculate. Course was difficult but fair. If I lived closer to Stonelick Hills, I would play there 10 times a year. Please play here. You will not be disappointed!
Best course around hands down
Stonelick does it right from top to bottom. The pro Adam is a real class act. The course was in tip top shape (as always) and we played on the last day of August. Cart lady kept everyone hydrated and fed. Pace of play was great seeing as we didn't wait more than a couple minutes at the most the whole day. Everything about the golf course was for lack of better word...perfect. Thank you stonelick for keeping the integrity of this game going. If you haven't been out to The Golf Club at Stonelick Hills yet I suggest you do yourself a favor and book a round ASAP.
Great Course!
I have played Stonelick Hills twice now and I have been playing for about 10 years now and it is BY FAR my favorite course I have played! The course is very well maintained and is challenging when you play from the black or gold tees! Well worth the money!
