Don't miss this while playing Photo submitted by mk8q16ophx6477363 on 08/11/2020
Not for the weak hearted
This is not a course to be walked. More distance green to tee than tee to green.
Distance from cart path to greens excessive
This is not a course for a high handicap golfer.
Course was fun to play
Greens in good shape
rough was pretty thick
Great course
Only reason I didn't give all 5 stars was due to aerated greens. Staff was super friendly.
Great Course
Course overall was great. Gave course condition a 4 due to the greens having been aerated making putting difficult. Would consider playing course again in future if could catch another Hot Deal from Golf Now as $79.00 for weekend rate is a little pricey and there are other nice courses in the area.
WOW!
This might be my new favorite course to play in Ohio. In the past Sleepy Hollow, Shaker Run and Longeberger had topped my list, but this track has topped them all! I shot 87 on this day, but after playing the course, could easily elicit a high70's or low 80's score. One has to play this place a time or two to get a bit of course knowledge to play nearer my handicap. My analogy of a great course like this is, "it beats you and beats your and beats you" and then you move onto the second hole. I loved every moment of the beating from the first tee to the last putt! A great diverse design of many different golf hole architecture not normally seen around here. Pot bunkers, bunkers in the middle of the fairways, holes requiring long, carried second shots to several greens, blind greens and reachable, yet challenging par 4 holes. This place is an ABSOLUTE MUST PLAY on anyones golf bucket list. Enjoy!
Absolutely wonderful
Stonelick is a pristine place to play golf. Surrounded by nature, excellent course conditions, fast true greens, lots of challenge, lots of water, which is beautiful and difficult. The course is not cheap to play but you absolutely get what you pay for! Me and my friends will be back.
Nice golf course
Beautiful and well maintained course. Can't believe the owner designed it himself. The only missing feature is a GPS on the cart.; however, all flagpoles have reflectors for laser range finders.
golf
Great golf course, I drove over and hour to get there and will do it again.
Best course in the tri-state area
I wish I could afford to play it every week. Fun, challenging yet fair....green are rolling and perfect. best 2 finishing holes I have every played.
Great layout, tees, and greens
I played in the morning on the day after the fairways were cut. Cloiiping were in every fairway that caused the need to lift and clean ever ball hit in the fairway. I would have rated the couse excellent had that not happened. I paid $59 and was not told about the condition of the fairways until I inquired. Come on a Stonelick, you need to find a better solution.
Beautiful surroundings, worth the drive.
A very well maintained course, that requires well placed tee shots on many fairways. Although the course winds through rolling hills, the designers kept the course friendly with mostly flat fairways. There were many blind second shots. Just wish the score card showed the hole layouts.
Stonelick Hills
This is a fantastic place to play. Beautiful scenery to enjoy as you play. I'll be back.
One of Ohio's best!
The is the second best course I've played in the state of Ohio next to Longaberger. Best public course in southern Ohio.
Excellent Day for 18
We had a beautiful Saturday afternoon of golf on a challenging course. Played here several times before but seems to rain us out sometime in the round. Course was in very nice shape and the greens were quick. Paired up with another couple of guys, very nice to play with
Excellent maintained public course
Course was in great shape, greens were very receiving a touch on the slow side. For the price if have trouble finding a course is better condition, great layout, good mix of long holes and short holes.
Great course
Wide variety of holes, beautiful setting, no houses. Challenging but fair. A must play course.
Stonelick Hills
Not a course i could afford to play often but i really enjoyed playing here. Beautiful layout
True greens in November
I went on 11/14 at about 2:30 and was about the only one there. They are on their winter rates now which is $39 with a cart. As soon as I was finished I wanted to play again, but the lack of daylight is the only thing that prevented me from doing so.
39 dollars for this course during the late fall is an absolute steal. It was in spring time conditions. The greens had very few blemishes and rolled true and fast.
I cannot wait to get back on their course.
Scenery and fairness was reward for well placed shot
Definitely top 5 courses in the tri-state hands down. Rewarded with flat lie for well placed tee shot, instead of uphill, downhill, side hill lie you would get at park courses. Fairways and greens are what you'd expect at resort golf courses. Club house is like a lodge resort.....can't go wrong here fellas and ladies, pony up the extra dough and play a pristine course.....
Great course
Fantastic golf course. Great mix of holes. Staff was very professional. Looking forward to playing this course in the spring.
That is why he is a higher handicapper.
