Located less than an hour from Tampa and Orlando, LakeSide Golf & Country Club in Inverness has a unique and scenic setting with four holes that play around an abandoned phosphate mine. The challenging layout will test you with long par 5s and a slew of doglegs. Unlike some of the flatter, marshier golf courses you'll find throughout Florida, this layout has rolling, wide open fairways and large, undulating greens. Be prepared for more than 50 strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greens in addition to well placed smatterings of tall oaks and pines. The rough can also be very punishing if you're errant. There are some challenging holes but it's not overly daunting; beginners and casual golfers will still enjoy the golf course. There is also a driving range available at LakeSide Golf & Country Club.

Great value
The greens at Lakeside have improved quite a lot since I last played there two years ago.
The course conditions were good but some work is needed for the ball washers, cart paths, etc.
Lakeside Golf Course
This a fun, pretty forgiving course to play. This is my second time playing so it was a bit easier to know how to play the course. Staff and other golfers were friendly and everyone was having a fun time on this weather perfect day.
Great Day
Weather was perfect and the course was good. Fairways and greens were overseeded and looked good. fairly busy but a good pace for play.

Fun course
Staff is always helpful and friendly. Fourth hole is always a challenge
The course is in excellent shape. If you haven’t played here in a while do yourself a favor and play it now! Tees greens and fairways are all green! The rough is friendly Lakeside is an extremely good value for the dollar! Play it soon!
All OK
Nothing much to comment on. All was OK...not great or bad...just OK. Greens were in good shape and are LARGE. Also fast.
Better Than Expected
The whole course was better than the last time we played here.
Fast Round
The course was not busy and I t played fairly fast. It was in good shape but the ground is rather rough. There are some very challenging holes. I enjoy working on my game on this course because it offers a variety of situations.
Great Value
First time playing this course. Course was fun and staff was very friendly. Greens and fairways were in pretty decent shape overall. Certainly will be back.
