Located less than an hour from Tampa and Orlando, LakeSide Golf & Country Club in Inverness has a unique and scenic setting with four holes that play around an abandoned phosphate mine. The challenging layout will test you with long par 5s and a slew of doglegs. Unlike some of the flatter, marshier golf courses you'll find throughout Florida, this layout has rolling, wide open fairways and large, undulating greens. Be prepared for more than 50 strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greens in addition to well placed smatterings of tall oaks and pines. The rough can also be very punishing if you're errant. There are some challenging holes but it's not overly daunting; beginners and casual golfers will still enjoy the golf course. There is also a driving range available at LakeSide Golf & Country Club.

Dog Leg Alley
I've never golfed at a course with so many dog Leg holes. Very , very challenging. The condition of the course was great. A few greens need to be repaired but the fairways and sand traps were in great shape.

Excellent value for the money
I got a great deal on this round. It was a busy morning so we had to wait for carts. But the manager was nice and gave me temporary use of his personal cart. He trusted us ladies with it. The course has a lot of live Oaks and sand cranes. Layout is good. The back nine has some long holes. Course needs some TLC in areas. We ate at the restaurant after golf. Excellent food and service.

i booked this time for a 2some.when we showed up on 11/26 at 11am they were closed.now i want my money back.
WOW, really rough course conditions. plays like a run down muni. needs much work.

We got a tee time for $10 on a Hot Deal. You could not pass that up. The putting greens are in good shape. The tee boxes and fairways need some TLC. However they have seeded the fairways. Staff is pleasant. It is a pretty course. You better like sand cranes though.
Good Bones, fast greens
Friendly staff. The course has a very challenging layout and fast greens. Some fairways are in great shape and others pretty rough. It is sad to see courses like this slide down hill. We enjoy playing and recommend it for those who enjoy a little adventure. More support will allow the course to stay open and hopefully improve course integrity. Live the Sandhills Cranes!
Improving by the day and it's got wide open fairways we always enjoy the course.. a great deal for the money!!
