Located less than an hour from Tampa and Orlando, LakeSide Golf & Country Club in Inverness has a unique and scenic setting with four holes that play around an abandoned phosphate mine. The challenging layout will test you with long par 5s and a slew of doglegs. Unlike some of the flatter, marshier golf courses you'll find throughout Florida, this layout has rolling, wide open fairways and large, undulating greens. Be prepared for more than 50 strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greens in addition to well placed smatterings of tall oaks and pines. The rough can also be very punishing if you're errant. There are some challenging holes but it's not overly daunting; beginners and casual golfers will still enjoy the golf course. There is also a driving range available at LakeSide Golf & Country Club.

Great time
Really nice greens, very large pretty fast, and putted consistent from green to green
Fairways were okay but not great I was bumping my ball some in the fairways to find grass to hit off of. Layout on the front
Was okay, I liked the back better I thought it had more character. Got paired up with a very nice couple, who had played the course before, they were a lot of fun and played ready golf. All in all a great day!!
Well kept course
This course was very well maintained, especially the greens. I was somewhat surprised because this is when the snowbirds come to play and they leave the courses a little rough. I will play this course on a regular basis. Keep those GolfNow specials coming!
Pretty good course
The course is good for daily play but you would probably go elsewhere if you wanted to treat yourself. Greens are a little slow but predictable. Course is pretty open except for a few tight ones and one that requires an exacting tee shot.
Fairways need work
The lay out of the course is good but the fairways need work Most of the greens are in good shape. The course is long and has roll. Its not work the asking price

The course was in very nice condition, and presented enough challenge from the white tees for this 70 year old.

Course was in the greatest shape ever-greens were excellent-hardly any wait time between holes-price was great-staff friendly
Great layout, good conditions
Very interesting course. Several holes around an old phosphate mine. Conditions not pristine, but not bad at all. I really enjoyed my round and look forward to returning.
Great to be back
For several years now we start our holiday at Lakeside. À very Nice golfcourse for us and THE kids.
although they got better handicaps now THE course is challenging enough for all of us.
Found A Home
Loved the place, real par 5's, testy par 3's, velvet greens, just love it, did not visit the 19th.
Challenging but fair!!
Course presents challenges but is fair and allows a good score if you can hit it straight.
A couple par 5's are long and require placing the second shot to the far right of the fairway to have a clear approach shot to the green.
Sand traps could use a little improvement.
Greens are in great condition, have lots of movement and play fast.

Greens are nice
Lakeside is in very nice playing condition. The course is extremely challenging from the white tees for the average golfer. Conditions were perfect for 18 hoes of golf.
Nice layout
Played here after first hadding a look at the course as previously the greens were very poor
Now it was a real relief and pleasurevto play the course with all the greens having been maintained. No bald or groves in the greens.
Fairays are also getting better. Hopefully the keep up the improvements as it is worth to return
Much improved
This course is much improved from when we last played earlier in the year. The green are in great condition now and the fairways excellent. Highly recommended

Better shape than many courses in the area. Played at 2pm. 3hrs 15min. Uncrowded

loved the course and the greens. they were verti-cutting them to make them better course was avery pleasant surprise-------- especially hole number 4---- very senior friendly
Relaxing course
Course was in good condition and has improved over the last twelve months. An enjoyable afternoon for me and my wife.
Decent course
Greens were a tad slow considering we have not had rain in over a week, but course was in very good condition and a lot of fun.
