Great Course, Excellent Value, Excellent Staff
Great course, by mid June you'll experience gorgeous rolling fairways, challenging manacured greens and don't forget there are 3 courses which keeps it interesting if you play here often like I do. Great value, reasonably priced too!
They actually have friendly starters and rangers, (who knew there was such a thing) and the clubhouse staff treat everyone like you're at a private club, very accommodating.
But don't tell anyone 😉😉, it's our little secret.
Aeration
Impossible to play with aeration on both courses and both fairways and greens. Balls stopped on holes in fairways and greens were horrible with holes and sand. I 9 at a time would be fine and also an advance notice would be appreciated. No $ discount for the conditions either. Very sad
Nice course, questionable staff.
We really liked the course. There was some recent work done on the greens but it was understood before we started and they were fine under the circumstances. Our problem was with the start. We were scheduled to start at 11:AM. We arrived at 10:30AM and were signed in and ready to go at 10:45AM. The starter told us what courses we would be playing and what the conditions were which was fine. What happened was that hthe starter continued to talk about random topics and at one point he got in his cart and drove off leaving us standing at our carts. The time was now 11:AM and he was nowhere to be found. When he returned, he gave the go ahead to another party that we happened to know and who had a 11:15AM start. The starter sent them off at 11:15AM, ahead of our 11:AM scheduled start. He then focused his attention on us again, continued to talk about the course, how much he enjoys it, where he lives, where he comes from, and blah, blah blah, on and on! He finally got us started at 11;30AM. What happened out on the course was what we expected to happen. Things got backed up with three foursomes on the same hole. The Ranger came along and singled our foursome out as the group causing the delay on the course. The ranger had us jump ahead one hole. When we arrived at the hole there was one foursome on the green, one foursome waiting to tee off and then us, sitting in our carts watching and waiting. Long story short, the starter and the ranger totally messed up our day on the course and they should see this review and figure out how to correct their mistakes for future golfers. I would love to play this course again, by I won't because of what happened. There are so many options that it would be foolish to risk having a bad experience visiting Crosswinds again.
27 holes of great golf
Even for the very beginning of the golf season and three days of rain before playing, it was in really good shape. This place gets better and better as the season moves along.
Cart path only?
This was the 3rd time I ve played crosswinds in 2025. One of the few courses with riding carts. The course is certainly dry enough to allow carts to be driven on the course as opposed to their current policy of cart path only! The fact that they are charging almost $70 for weekday fees!
Course is in great shape
The course is in great shape considering its March. Greens are slow and a little bumpy as is expected. The GolfNow tee time saved me about $7 per guy so that’s nice. $90 for crosswinds is a lot of money but every course around them also went up around that price point so I understand it. Would be nice if the carts weren’t left out year round to get moldy for $90 a round. Another month or so and the course will be green and lush, the carts will be moldier
👍. Crosswinds
Excellent experience for this time of year. No complaints.
My bad
I couldn’t book thru Cross Winds as there was no availability so I went thru you folks and two people backed out due to the cold and wind so I missed the return window of 24 hours. And the cashier said “ tough luck your friends owe you”… my bad but the guy was a jerk
5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes three people with carts greens were awful and only one course staff member to handle pace of play is obnoxious also clubhouse not open vending machines not working
nice course
The course was in good shape. The greens had been punch recently. I wish there had been a small discount and not full price. I expect the greens to be done at some point.
Great Day at Crosswinds!
Perfect day to play. Sunny and 70's. Moved right along all day with 27 holes available to play. For a late day in Oct course was in great shape.
Ouimet aerated, Zaharias not yet. Great value!
Everytime I have played here, it was always Jones-Ouimet. I got to do Ouimet-Zaharias this time. Zaharias is a completely different 9 than the other 2. All 3 are quite different from each other, which is cool. Would love to play all 27 at once one of these days. Ouimet looks like it was aerated and top dressed a week or so ago. It wasn't terrible, but I tried looking on their website and found nothing. I really do hate that they don't give a few bucks off, like Pinehills does. Zaharias is in amazing shape for mid October. Still a great time and a great course. Course is a great value compared to other Plymouth courses. You really can't beat $89 on the weekends. This is the 2nd time in a row I had a bad cart. Almost rear ended the people I was playing with, because the brakes were almost non-existent. Hopefully they will replace or maintain them. I tried telling the guys at the cart corral, but they didn't seem to care. All in all i really like this course. It's no Pinehills or Waverly, but it's also $70 and $45 cheaper during prime rates.
P.S. would you guys repair your ball marks and rake traps, please. I had a 7:42 and it was allready looking like mid day. You would think those guys playing early would take better care of the course.
crosswinds
My whole experience there was very good.
The staff, I interacted with the woman I paid and the starter, was excellent. They were friendly, courteous and helpful. Our playing partners were great. The greens were really rolling well!!! The tees and fairways were more than ok (many tees and busy landing spots were badly divoted up”. in my mind that’s a combo of people not replacing divots and a lack of maintenance), there was a good amount of trash on the ground (that’s more a of a players problem), the traps had plenty of sand and rakes but there were lots of traps not raked after someone played out of them (definitely a player’s problem) and the rough along tree lines was very thin (a maintenance issue). For the money- it was a great value and experience. I’d go back in a second!!! 👍🏻
