About
Although it is tucked away among rolling green hills and mature oaks, Lake Jovita Country Golf & Country Club is conveniently less than 30 minutes north of Tampa. The club offers two championship golf courses, the North and the South. The South Course, the original track at Lake Jovita, has a more traditional design than the other course. It features generous fairways and velvety-smooth greens. The layout weaves through lakes and ponds that into play on several holes. The course was built to fully utilize the hilly terrain, incorporating a variety of elevation changes throughout. The par-5 11th hole even features a 94-foot drop from tee to green, which is the largest natural elevation change in the entire state. It is one of Florida's "must-play" courses

Great experience
Green were great pace was easy staff was friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for better
Pace of play was horrible
Great course, well kept up, great tees, greens, bunkers, etc. can’t say enough good things about the course. The pace of play was absolutely horrid and nothing was done about it. Didn’t see a ranger the entire day.
Amazing Lake Jovita
I played the south course today and it was awesome like always. Amazing conditions! Amazing layout! And anything you need from the pro shop to practice areas. If you haven’t played any of the courses at Lake Jovita you should! Prices are high this time of year but still cheaper than most courses of this caliber. Lots of elevation and plenty of challenge!
Best conditions -no personality staff
The course was one of the best I’ve played. Design, conditions, and speed of greens were exceptional. Loved it. The staff however need to learn hospitality. I arrived only 15 mins before my tee time snf I was told it was fine that I had time. I never played here before so I had no clue where to go and nobody offered help. I after finding my bay on a cart I headed to starter who informed me I was late and my group I was paired up with had already tees off and I’d have to catch up with them. Total bs since I was there. Anyway I played w 2 great guys who made experience worth it even after missing opening hole.
Tremendous Lake Jovita
Great value, Fantastic conditions,one of the best courses in central Florida. Both the North & South courses challenge all golfers of all playing abilities to enjoy a great on the course.

Hands-down one of the best courses in the Tampa Bay area I highly recommend coming to check out this course I feel like I’m a professional player on the tour
Great course
The course was in very good condition. Greens were fast. They had winter seeded with rye and you couldn’t drive carts on the fairways, only cart paths and roughs.
Not from the area, but course was recommended.
Was very disappointed. Extremely fast greens almost to a point of being a joke. Lots of gimmick holes. No rain but tee shots were plugged into the fairway.
When I got to the course found out it was cart path only because of reseeding. That happens, just bad timing on my part. Not worth $80 price , could play better track at half the price.
Enjoy elevation changes
Very good course conditions fast greens good bunkers challenge your game.
