The Golf Club of Jupiter

About
Founded in 1940, the Golf Club of Jupiter is one of the town's oldest golf clubs. It is a local favorite that is still a pretty well kept secret from the rest of the state. It is not the most challenging layout that low handicappers will ever encounter, but it is a quick, playable round with excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. There are some water hazards that come into play, but nothing too demanding, and there are a few strategically placed bunkers throughout. The front nine is slightly shorter and less challenging than the back nine but overall, beginners would not feel overwhelmed. In addition to the course, the Golf Club of Jupiter also has a driving range where they use floating balls into a lake.

Nice Course - Some Challenging Holes
the course layout is fair and gives the player an oppotunity to score.
Don't be "egged" into going for the long shots... Miss and your either in the water or tough approaches.
Course for Most Levels of Player
The course is a bit dry and of couple greens have damage. Fairways are generally in good condition. Good course to accommodate players who are not long hitters. All can score and those needing a challenge can move to the back tees.
Places a premium on good strategic play. Front nine is relatively short with three par threes.
GOLFING AT TGC of J
THE GOLFING WAS OK . THE GREENS WERE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE AND CHALLENGING, THE FAIRWAYS WERE NOT SO GOOD. MY BEST SHOTS WENT INTO THE SAND AND WATER. THE UNFAMILIAR HAZZARDS LED TO MY DOWNFALL.
I DID NOT LIKE THE SALES PITCH FOR A GOLF CLUB AND GOLF MAG. SUBSCRIPTION BEING ON THE COURSE, BUT I DID PUT UP THE $10.00. AFTER I READ THE LITERATURE I REALIZED THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE IT.....I SENT THE APPLICATION IN FOR A REFUND.......I DO NOT THINK THAT TRYING TO SELL SOMETHING IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROUND OF GOLF IS GOOD COURSE ETIQUITE!!
Dog track
For $25 with a cart price was right but Not worth more than $35.
Greens are small but in good shape.
Fairways were poor mostly hard pan with very little grass. Lots of dirt patches.
Tee box were fair.
This course has a variety of very playable hazards.
Our foursome will definitely be back. It was very enjoyable.
Average Public golf course
Course is not worth paying full price. They are having problems with many of the greens with black spots. Fairways are sketchy. Did we have a good time? Yes.
Back at the Golf Club of Jupiter
This was our first regulation 18 hole course we have played since arriving in a Jupiter a week ago and it was so much fun to be back at the Golf Club of Jupiter where the conditions were terrific with perfect weather and the usual friendly staff. All in all, a very good experience!
this course was great
i liked the course just the right amount of bunkers and just enough water for a great round of golf. the only complaint i have their was no ranger ,had to want every hole which takes away the momemdom
away from your game and enjoying the course to its fullest
Pace of play
The course needs a ranger to keep the golfers moving along
Just "OK"
You get what you pay for. Course was in ok condition- nothing to write home about. It was a $50 course- if that. No "perks" i.e.gps, gas (loud) carts, etc. Your average public course. Very tight
great course
a fun course to play. We were able to play fairly quickly for a foursome.
Fair Value
GCJ offers fair value for the money. Course is short and the layout unconventional (4 par 3s on the front 9, 2 more on the back). Facilities are a little shabby and customer amenities and service minimal. Having said that, the course was in reason able condition and fun to play. At $45 for a mid morning start I felt I got my money's worth.
staff was great
Course was decent shape and staff was great..very enjoyable experience..thanks
Overpriced and slow play
I really felt that for the price paid this place would have been way nicer than it was. The pace of play was very slow, we had an extremely slow foursome ahead of just my friend and I, a twosome, never saw a ranger nor did they ever offer for us to play through. After 4 hours and 15 min. we quit after 16, another reason for this was there is no bathroom at all on the back 9. I can think of plenty of other courses in Palm Beach county I'd rather play than go here again. Was also displeased with score card not having a map of the course, this having been my first and probably last time here.
Enjoyable course to play
We enjoyed playing at the Golf Club of Jupiter.
We were paired up with another couple that were very nice also.
For what ever reason , there was quite a back up on the back nine.?
For this course the amount that they're asking for is too much
Very busy it's definitely very busy to play golf in Florida It's the season
There are better choices, I'm told
Reasonably nice older course, in fine condition. but completely surrounded and crowded by houses. The scorecard could be vastly improved with a map that shows where the hazards lie. Since I'm visiting from out of town, I was hoping for a better track, but this would be a good value for locals who are just out for a reasonably cheap round.
Nice course
This course is a little gem.tight fairways that require good shot placement to landing areas.greens were nice and true.i would recomend this to anyone visiting this area.staff was super friendly
Nice course
Challenging course with narrow fairways and nice greens.back mine here is very nice,
Not much good here
I last played this course 3 years ago. Now I remember why. Nothing to see here. The GC of Jupiter is way over priced. Although the course was in good shape the value still wasn't there. The play was slow, slow, slow to the point of distraction and focus altering. The clientele appeared to be very old and didn't care much about golf courtesy or anything about others on the course. It didn't help that the course provided next to nothing in the way yardages or lay out. Not even a sketch of the hole on the score cards or in the cart ( no GPS and not sky caddie mapped). The herky-jerky gas powered carts made for an awkward ride. Personally I did't care for the place but I have to admit the place was packed. Maybe over booked or too short an interval on the tee times. They charged me less than the quoted price on Golf Now but I don't think I be going back.
