About
Surrounded by dense woodlands, Clover Valley Golf Club has a secluded parkland setting that also allows for some links-style holes. The course is relatively young but it has a much older feel to it. The versatile layout has an interesting mix of holes that appeals to a variety of different tastes and abilities. There are also four sets of tees that make it even more accommodating to a range of skill levels. The layout features gently rolling fairways that are lined with trees. They are rather generously sized though, which makes them more player-friendly. The medium-sized greens are also approachable with only slight undulations. There are several lakes as well as a creek that come into play on several holes. In addition to the golf course, Clover Valley also offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range with target greens, a large putting green, and a chipping area with greenside bunkers.

They've let this course go
I played this course often before moving out of the area 5 years ago. I was surprised to see the course in such poor condition. Practice area was awful and the balls were covered in dirt, mud, and grass. It was nearly impossible to find a spot on the tee boxes where I could put both my feet and ball in grass at the same time. They have abandoned every bunker on the course. It's hard to find very many positive things to say about the place. Ownership should be embarrassed.
Great course
Pretty cheap for the area, great course with some challenges, bunkers were a little rough but staff was awesome. Shawn, who sent us off was awesome.

Declining course
I arrived a little behind schedule after I purchased a tee time on golf now. I will own that I wasn’t early but I’m also 41 years old and don’t need “a valuable life lesson” from an old man working the cash register slower than a turtle. He was abrasive and for lack of better term, a jerk and I was tempted to voice my displeasure of his attitude but I wanted to play. I struggled the first 3 holes because he had me very angry but then I got into my groove. Fairways and rough were good but the sandtraps were disgraceful. Standing water, rocks, weeds growing and they were simply unplayable. I hope this gets changed quick or else I won’t be a regular customer.

Decent
Greens aren’t bad, not a grain of sand on the course. Was nicer years ago when I played. Not bad condition for anyone shooting over 100. Not worth the price that we got. Hopefully it’s back in better shape in a couple years. Staff was very friendly

Good for $22
Love the course itself, greens in great shape, free drops out of bunkers though as none of the bunkers were kept at all…
Plenty of yard markers on sprinklers out in the fairways was nice.
Conditions
Bunkers were unplayable in terrible conditions! Most were in water, or had nearly no sand or were just full of weeds in the bunker

Course conditions
Sand bunkers have no sand and grass growing out of it.

Don't waste your money
Heavy water in almost every bunker and the ones that didn't have water were a mess. Bunkers were dirt not sand. Greens were average at best. Ball marks everywhere. Just not worth it.

Should be great, but left in disrepair
I played this course last year and noted it was left in disrepair. The bunkers were horrible with zero upkeep done to them. There were weeds growing in them, standing water, and dirt/rocks with no sand. I asked a grounds keeper and he told me they have had a problem getting people to work at the course coming out of COVID. I figured that was fair and I restrained from writing a review. I went back again for a round yesterday and sadly it was all the same issues. In fact, the same parts of the green that were under repair a year ago still are today. The bunkers are still in the same horrendous state, and the course in general charges way too much to be in this condition. For a 'New Era' golf course this is completely unacceptable.
We apologize for the poor experience in regards to the course conditions. We appreciate the comments. Our grounds staff is hard at work to improve the conditions every day.
