Great course, challenging layout.
Booked a 7:35 am tee time for my dad and I on a trip up the central coast. We got there at 7 to get a few swings and putts in , and the staff was super nice, letting us know we’d be alright to get out a few minutes early if we wanted after we warmed up. The course is in great condition , although they use the green dye on the greens that will temporarily stain your hands , but washes off no problem. The sand traps are in great conditions, the greens and tee boxes are as well. I look forward to playing here again when we return.
Better if half off
Mostly a tale of two nines. Front nine is much newer than the back as evidenced by the state of the fairway homes. The front nine plays harder than the back which runs through a much older neighborhood. Back nine is wide open while the front none is tight.
Carts are a plus because of the ample deadwalks green to tee. I will stick with Hunter Ranch when I visit Paso Robles.
Course was in great condition. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The staff in the restaurant is very friendly.

Walked the Blues (6157/70.2/119) in 3.5H late afternoon. $25 to walk twilight. Overcast, low 90's and breezy. Par 70 with five par 3's and three par 5's. Layout is quirky, tight in places with some fun holes.
Tees mostly lush, well maintained with few unfixed divots.
Fairways mostly lush and nice to play from.
Rough mostly lush, good coverage. Penal because it is kikuyu in places, while other places is tall fescue.
Sand traps nicely maintained with darker sand.
Greens putted medium fast and are smooth. Very few ball marks, Firm but still held full shot approaches well.
Friendly, quick check-in @ the Pro Shop, Friendly Player Assistant out on the course filling in divots and fixing ball marks on the greens. Small range on mats that is not full size. Large putting green that mirrors the on course greens. Small chipping practice area. No on course services here, but there is a busy restaurant on the turn. Recommended.
Greens, bunkers and fairway were in immaculate condition.

Walked the Blues (6157/70.2/119) in 3H, 45M late afternoon. $25 to walk twilight. Sunny, round 100 with a consistent 2 club wind.
Tees decently maintained, mostly lush with fvew unfixed divots.
Fairways were mostly lush and nice to play from.
Rough mostly lush, good coverage. Penal because it is kikuyu.
Sand traps decently maintained with darker sand.
Was absolutely shocked at the quality of the greens. They were immaculate. Best greens I have putted on in quite some time. They hit the trifecta... Smooth, almost no ball marks and quick. And when I say quick, I had several 6-8' comebackers on putts I barely missed on the way by. Firm but still held full shot approaches well.

Awesome Course
Course well maintained and everyone very friendly . For a mid handicapper very nice course .
Fun Course. Friendly People
Fun layout. Challenging but fair. Great greens. The staff were exceptional. Good value.
Nice course and greens
Great course and was in good condition. Greens were awesome when I played and rolled true. Wind on a few holes was tricky but manageable. Bit of a short course so dialed down drivers and went hybrid off a few tees.
Staff is very friendly and bar area is nice. Will be back.
Paso Robles
Walked the Whites (6003/69.3/116) with Mnelison, Susan and Greg. Very nice group to play with. Sunny, around 70 and calm. POP slightly more than 4H playing in a Scramble with the SLO Co Golf Club.
Today was charged $39 for the weekday walking rate. Last time it was $36 for Seniors to walk? Today the guy said they charge everyone the same price? Time before that it was $40? So they seem to make it up as they go here. I was not amused.
Layout is quirky, tight ion places with some fun holes. Par 70 with five par 3's and three par 5's.
Tees decently maintained, winter thin with good coverage.
Rough and fairways were both winter thin. Playable and cut low, fairways a step up over the rough.
Sand traps decently maintained with darker sand.
Greens putted very nice, medium fast and smooth. Firm but still held full shot approaches well.
Quick, efficient friendly check in, no services offered under COVID-19. Restaurant offered takeout or inside/outside dining on a limited menu. Small range on mats that is not full size. Weak recommendation.

Walked the Whites (6003/69.3/116) with Mnelison, Glen and Larry. Fun group to play with. Partly cloudy, around 60 and calm. POP slightly more than 4H on the $36 Sr. weekday walking rate.
Layout is a bit quirky but has some fun holes. I like it better with each visit. Par 70 with five par 3's and three par 5's. Old school, tight parkland style with most holes surrounded by homes on one or both sides. Several holes have lakes that are hidden from the golfers vantage point when they are making the shot approaching the lake. Numerous tees are a long way from the last green as you cross streets and go through residential areas.
Tees decently maintained with good coverage.
Both the rough and fairways were winter thin. Very playable and cut low.
Sand traps well maintained with darker sand.
Greens were excellent. Medium fast and smooth, firm but still held full shot approaches well.
Quick, efficient check in, no services offered under COVID-19. Restaurant offered takeout or outside dining on a limited menu. Small range on mats that is not full size. Recommended.
Not a fan
Fairways and rough in good condition but overall flow of course seemed off. Course was backed up all day, waiting 15 min per hole to play.
