Love the challenging layout!, but the condition was terrible! What’s happened to this “should be beautiful “ course? Come on whoever is in charge take one step at a time. Water! And then water some more! Take care of the greens. Why are there weeds on all of the them? I’d love to come back and play if there’s some improvement

Having played golf for 64+ years I was looking forward to this track as the pictures on GolfNow.com showed pristine tees, fairways and greens. This was by far the worst course I’ve ever played or seen for that matter. Tees has no grass and we’re wastelands, fairway grass was non existent with clumps of old grass visible on all. Bunkers haven’t been raked in weeks, maybe months. Green speeds were 2.0 on the stemp meter. Grass on greens was almost non existent. Either invest or shut this farm field down….

I’ve played golf for 64+ years and this was by far the worst course I’ve ever played. On GolfNow.com it’s shows pristine trees, fairways and greens. This was nothing but a burned out hayfield. Not one blade of green grass in sight. They need to shut it down and redo the entire course. If not just shut it down permanently.

I don’t understand how there were so many people playing on such a bad course. Everything was in terrible shape from the Tee boxes to the Greens. I can not really find a positive about this course. Maybe if they took care of the course it would be a fun and challenging course but in its condition your better off playing anywhere else.

Terrible conditions and charging $70. The course was like playing out of the sand from the tees ,fairways, rough and on the green. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!

Tees are sand and burnt out grass, Greens have excess growth of weeds and other grass on them hard to putt.

They should have paid me 29 dollars to play really . Unreal

This is not the first time that I’ve played at Tara but certainly will be the last. I’ve been going there for years and this last year has been the worst I’ve ever seen it. The tee boxes were awful, fairways brown, greens were barely decent and it is almost as if they don’t water anything except for the private course.

Greens had several bare spots and other areas with crab grass coming through. I realize it’s early in the season but have played on other courses in much better condition. Friendly staff and restaurant sandwiches were very good.

Looks like they have given up completely on the greens on the front nine. The amount of "crab grass" growing throughout the practice green was indicative of all greens on the front nine and most of the greens on the back. Thought I had hit a couple of sprinkler heads in the fairway off the tee but the 15 foot bounce was just from the dryness of the fairways. There were a few instances where the bush in front of the tee boxes needs to be cut down since you had no view of where the fairway was. Unfortunate that the shape of the course was so bad because one can see that the layout of the course is really nice.

Tough course without course knowledge. The greens are slow and some have several bad spots. Water comes into play on many holes. Certainly a challenge.

The greens are in horrid condition, most of the greens have holes dug in them, patches of turf missing on many greens. Overall a very poorly maintained course for the price point.

Love the course layout, but the greens are in very bad condition as well as the fairways. They are almost gone in many places and it needs watering or rain.

This course has all the potential to be a great course, and the staff was top notch and friendly. The tee boxes were not maintained at all, and the greens had unwanted growth of grass and weeds, as well as many spots filled with sand on each green, 4-8 inches in diameter. Overpriced for condition of the course. and play was somewhat slow. 4hrs 45 min

Course is in the worst condition I've ever seen it I wouldn't spend more than $20 to play it again there's hardly any grass on the course , greens have weeds and bad spots you cannot put over, I don't know how they get away charging over $20

Spend your money somewhere else. This course is nothing but disappointment and garbage. I wouldn’t even call it a golf course. none of the tea boxes have grass, the greens have lots of unfixed areas and lots of sand. Really disappointing. I wouldn’t even play here again if they paid me.

close to drought conditions but even so it seems there is little irrigation for fairways and the greens were in avg to poor shape, don't know if it's pests or disease or vandelism.. too narrow for me and too much trouble... good if you like that sort of thing
