Not one to go on and review something that's even somewhat bad, but when I was sent a request from golfnow to review, I felt the urge to for this one. Quite literally the WORST course I've ever been on. I kid you not, there were sand spots on every green, bumps in your entire line from anywhere you landed, fairways almost non existent, a lot of tee boxes bare, and get this... The sprinkler system came on and blasted us on the 7th hole in. It was quite entertaining looking at the sprinkler heads that weren't functionjng properly and flooding around themselves causing a huge puddle on the green we were aiming for on a sunny day. It was just an awful experience. It seemed like whoever owned it was trying to get every penny out of last minute tee time golfers in Florida's prime golf season and hasn't touched the course in years. 50 bucks a person is robbery. Charging anyone a dime to come to your "course" and play is robbery. Should be ashamed. Stay far away from this S hole.

Staff was friendly. That’s about all the course has going for it. The tee boxes were sand traps. The greens were filled with weeds and bumpy/uneven. The fairways were poorly maintained and about as solid as the cart path. I went a Sunday afternoon after seeing a deal on golf now app. I have played many courses in the Sarasota Bradenton area. You couldn’t pay me to play the course again. The layout was interesting in the sense that it’s got exceptionally tight fairways and water everywhere which was a fun challenge and enjoyable. But by no means a good experience. I’m very glad I got a special deal and did not pay full price. Even at half off it was not worth it, better options locally. The speed of play was atrocious and took us about 3 hours to get through 12 before we had enough and quit and left. Oh, and should mention, it was at this point that I had been attacked by a swarm of fire ants inhabiting the 12th tee box that had snuck up my calf during my drive backswing and gave me a good couple bites. Terrible experience.

I have the honor of playing here many while vacationing in the Sarasota area. Enjoyed a fun layout and great conditions. The layout is still good but the conditions have severely deteriorated. Creeping grasses ruining the greens, can be easily remediated if desires, Mole Crickets in evidence everywhere, lots of holes, there needs to be a more comprehensive watering program as the play is overly dry.

Sorry to see this deteriorate so much. Shame.

This golf course is in a shabby condition, lots of spots without grass . Difficult and not friendly . I lost over 8 balls ans so did my friend. The iced water in the containers at the restrooms was awful. Not worth the money .

What a difference from last week the course was an awful condition last week but has vastly improved through all 14 holes a few greens are still a little rough with grass in it or sand on top but overall a great improvement thank you for working hard to make golf fun

I am a somewhat new golfer and usually shoot high 80’s to low 90’s. I made a tee time first thing in the morning for a group of four and everything was fine at first until the course Marshall came out. Being that I’m a new golfer, it’s obviously going to take us longer to golf than some others, my group was playing through every hole and was keeping a normal pace. On probably the 3rd hole, the course Marshall drive past us super slow not saying a word and proceeded to just sit behind us and watch. This kept up for the rest of that hole and the next before I approached him. After asking what he needed he tell me “your group needs to be playing ready golf”. I shrugged it off and said okay thinking it was just a reminder. He continued following us up to about the 8th hole just slowly driving behind us. As you could probably guess that doesn’t help with pace of play, it’s much worse trying to play with someone staring at you waiting for you to move. By the time we were at the 8th hole he approached us again and told us we needed to hurry up and play faster because “they were booked for the day and there were foursomes behind us”. It was 9 am when we were told to hurry up on the 8th hole. We were even ahead of what their pace of play said and it seemed we were the only group being followed by this Marshall. I will not be returning and would never suggest this course to any of my friends/ family. The fact that your going to patronize paying customers and follow them around a course that is supposed to be nice and relaxing is bullsh*t. I’ve never had an experience like this anywhere else.
