Nice course. I've played many times here. This time of year nobody around. Lawn maintenance personnel very courteous.
Clubhouse person just a bit grumpy!

Lots of improvements since last time we played here over a year ago. Greens are in beautiful shape. So are the fairways. Women definitely want to play the red tees, green are way too close to the greens.

I play as a twosome and I was first impressed with the friendliness of the staff but also pleasantly surprised by how challenging the course was. My buddy and I played on Sat and was so beat up by the course we had to return on Sunday. The course, while it appears open requires accurate shots off the tee because of all the lakes, OB and lateral hazards. we played from the tip on a semi-windy day and it showed in our scores on day 1. You have to know the layout because trouble lurks in many places,. The Par 3 7th from the tips is quite challenging at 239 yds. The par 4 11th requires a long carry and accuracy. Overall this was a true test and I enjoyed every moment of it.

We played several years ago. The course is in much better shape. Very nice but players in front were slow. However like everyone they are getting ready for season.

This course has a fantastic lay out that is close to the Gulf of Mexico. This makes the course play very tough from the back tees, because of the wind. The greens were VERY disappointing for a $100.00 course. They were beat up & very slow. We played on a Saturday which was discounted to $55.00. The course would be great w/ good greens.

It is a ncie course, but nothing spectacular. The club house is a couple of trailers put together. The staff was friendly. Not a difficult course at all. My wife like it becasue the forward tees were really forward, thus allowing her to score well . The forward tees were probably placed there for the over 70 crowd.

Living not too far from the course, I tend to find myself playing a few rounds a year @ "The Shell". It is a solid challenge for anyone's game, particularly if you should choose to play the back tees. The front nine is a fantastic layout. The back nine offers a couple of great golf holes along with a few that seem to be a bit squeezed into the available real estate. Overall, the course is well maintained and very playable, however, good luck trying to guess your yardages. Marking the sprinkler heads here would go a long way toward the experience and speeding up play.

Course is beautiful, playable, and staff is friendly. Very good experience.
