Course does not honor Golf Now bookings.
The starter (with pony tail) would not honor golf now reservation and put me off on not the course booked and at a different time while lying about it...poorly played...OB right.
greens
The course is in nice shape and the greens were perfect
Good conditions
Course was in quality condition. The greens were cut to below a fuzz and rolled just a tad slow. It's a challenging course with it's tight fairways and decisive lay-ups. The views are a plus, too.
Average
Staff at the desk not friendly and the range guy seemed angry. The course played well considering all the rain in the area.
Very wet
Course was very wet, (cart path only) . For the amount of rain in the area the day before it should have been wet, but it never really drains well and hold a good deal of water. Greens were good, a little slow even after the the dew burned off.
A decent local course.
I've played this course several times. Seems to be in better shape these days than I remember.
I Remember it better
After not playing CBCC for 3 yrs. or so I found the conditions sub par on this go around. The greens were great but fairways hadn't been cut in awhile and the rough was so high that balls just off the fairway were a challenge to find. With 3 different 9's you would think they would have a lot better directions for each hole. It is very difficult to follow some of the hole directions. Staff was great and the price was a bargain for this course, which is usually over priced. All this said, I'd still recommend this course for a tough test.
Course Closed
Got there and they had closed the Course because of heavy rain. Course didn't charge me anything , I just lost the Golf Now fee.
River
Started with the guy behind the counter being annoyed I came in and paid for my golf. He was too busy watching tv to use any words. First time there and didn't even tell me where to get a cart or where the starter was. Played the river and dolphin. River 9 was in horrible shape. Crab grass in fairways, sand hasn't been raked since Bush was in office and fairways were flooded from rain the day before. Dolphin 9 was actually nicer but they sent so many groups out that it was extremely backed up. They didnt pair up singles and doubles so it was a free for all. 3 hour round on the back 9 is never fun.
Friendly staff!
A thunder storm the night before flooded two of the nine hole courses, so we got a huge discount to play 9 on the Dolphin course and club rentals! Pace of play was acceptable ( lots of senior golfers) and the greens were in excellent conditions!
No alligator sightings : (
Great foursome
Greens are in fabulous shape. Played with a family from England and it was just a joy.
Cocoa Beach - River/Dolphin
We played after a lot of rain had fallen on previous days. The River/Dolphin courses were 90 degree and the Lakes was cart path only. The course was very playable. It looks a little shaggy when you look at the overall area but didn't play that way. I have no complaints about the tee boxes or fairways. The greens are probably the best in the Central Florida Area. They feel soft when you walk on them but putt reasonably fast and true. The only problem that I had with our day was the grumpy rangers at the course. There was a Severe weather event that was going to blow through the area. We parked our carts in the cart barn and were instructed where to park by one of the rangers. A few minutes later two of the other rangers came to us and demanded that we remove our carts from the cart barn and put them under the portico in front of the building as they didn't have "room" for our carts in there. They were very snarky as we were holding out hope to play after the severe weather passed. After about 40 minutes we were able to return to the course and play the remaining 16 holes we had to finish. Its too bad that this facility has always had this type of people working in the cart area. This is not the first time with rude behaviors from cart attendants/rangers. All other aspects and staff get no complaints as they are top notch.
A good ride spoiled
I have played this course for over 35 years and consider it my "home " course. I booked this round on Golf Now as a single player and was treated like a second class citizen. I was not permitted to ride in my own cart , even though I explained I had an appointment later in the day and might have to leave before I finished my round. My golf cart mate was a fine gentleman who also booked golf now. We proceeded to the first tee, when a lady ran out of the starter's booth, (her name is Rose) and snarled at us and yelled " you are not on the tee yet". We offered her our apology.
She proceeded to allow a twosome to go ahead of us, the average age of which was 95 yrs old, plus a walker. A 1 1/2 hr front nine turned into a 2/1/2 one. The gap was ridiculous.I had no choice but to to quit after 9.
If I was a first time player, I would never go back.
This is the problem of a municipally owned and managed course. They hire unqualified, unhappy and unprofessional people who could care less. Being a Golf Now patron made matters worse and can be problematic at other courses as well. Golf Now patrons are simply not treated as well as others paying full price. Why? Is it the golfer's fault for taking advantage of lower rates offered ?
Nice course. Replace refreshment cart personel
Nice course. A little fast for my ability and did not expect to be paired up with other couple at tee off. Enjoyed there company and had fun until experience with the refreshment cart personel.
The refreshment cart lady, thought it was her job to scold my 11yr. son for saying the word “crap” in a conversation he and I were having. Seriously!
I do recommend this course but not the hospitality of the refreshment cart personel.

Nice course, cart lady needs replaced.
Nice course. Felt pushed for play time on the course and did not expect to be teamed up with another pair. We did enjoy the company of the couple we were paired up with and enjoyed playing the course. Just a little to fast of play for me. After the first nine, our foursome split and we continued on. That’s when the cart lady comes into play. She stopped and we asked for refreshments. My 11yr. old son and I were having a conversation in which he said the word “crap”. She over heard and proceeded to scold him and tell him he was a “bad boy”. SERIOUSLY! Remove her from her position.
