Lakes/River Golf Course Cocoa Beach Country Club

If this was the only choice I had then I would play it.

The course is very wet. Any ball hit high in the air will probable plug in the fairway. Maintenance of the course has not been good leading to problems on the course. Construction around the perimeter of the River course makes playing this particular 9 very awkward.

Given the conditions of the course, first the River course should be closed until construction is complete and second, the rate charged is much more than the value of the course.

We played the River and Dolphin and both were extremely wet even though we did not have rain in the past 48 hrs. River course was under constructio n for the first 6 holes.
Both courses . were in bad shape with the exception of the greens which were good, Would not play this course again.

Course was soaking wet which is understandable considering the rain we have gotten recently but the fairways were in rough shape and so was rough. Cart path only today which made pace of play horrendous. The only good thing I can say about this is the greens were in great shape. Absolutely outrageous price considering course conditions. Everything was in pretty bad shape except for the greens, probably due to overplay from the snow birds that come down south for winter.

course is too expensive on a daily basis for non-residents----greens were quick---However it was enjoyable to play ---very wind along the river---the starter was not the most friendly person in the world---on a couple of holes you have to watch for lay ups because of water hazards

Greens and bunkers in excellent shape. Fairways in poor shape. Played lake/river nines. River is a nicer layout with more interesting holes.

Started out on my own, figuring to catch up with another group, but they were just as fast as I was. Played the whole 18 alone.

Vacationing in Cocoa Beach since 10/1/15 and played every course within 35 min drive (SWFL last 2 years, originally from Oahu, Hawaii). I average 30.5 putts per round the last 8 years. These greens on par with some of the best courses I have ever played: Naples, Hawaii, HI, NV. etc. Perhaps a little bumpy (tee'd 1:30pm), but still fast. For being in mid-Banana River, these people do a wonderful job. Watch for cabbage on the fairway edges......just move your ball!

Rented clubs again this year. Good value, but staff needs to clean clubs. Last year's rental was in much better condition, and a wider range of irons was available at that time. Numerous clubs missing or duplicated in same bag.

Course was in good shape and the pace of play was moving very well even though it was crowded.

had a wonderful time. played the river and dolphin. river side was a beautiful layout/ dolphin was interior with challenging shots. both 9's were in very good condition and fast greens.

GolfNow reserved time on their back 9-hole when I requested 18. The staff was able to correct this and we had a great time.

Course had tournament at 1pm so only lakes course was open to play twice. They said it was golf nows mistake to even post a tee time for this time as they had informed you of this .

Fairways could stand improvement . Could not get course distance and layout. The app would not run there.

Not what I expected for a south Florida golf course....poorly maintained and don't let the Country Club name fool you. This isn't a Country club at all.

Got a great deal from GolfNow, but was planning to play anyway. Greens were topnotch, fairways average. Not too much trouble if you keep it in the fairways, which were wide enough. Carts in good shape, and play for a foursome was around 4 hours.

weather hot as usual but breeze off river made it tolorable, course in pretty good condition greens good had nice round...

This was a repeat of my experience, earlier in the year, when the Pro Shop attendant was very rude to me and my partner over a GolfNow Tee time. At that time, I swore that I wouldn't return. He said the Course was trying to rid themselves of GolfNow and was critical of them and their booking procedure. This was said in front of others in the Pro Shop, too Extremely
unwarranted an unprofessional in y book!

As for the fairways and greens, we found them to be above average, considering the torrential downpours that east central Florida has been experiencing.

Overall, the Golf was great, but the staff's attitude will linger for a long time, before I play it, again!!!

We got rained on a couple of time throughout our round but the greens held up well and gave a true roll and drained nicely. Some fairway did not fair as well but we played as if under repair and had a great time. Playing along the river was beautiful and provided a nice deterrent to pulling it left. Staff was great. Speedy 'edie' got the beer cart around several times despite the weather.
