Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

A Hidden Gem
The scenic view from the tee boxes at Hole #4 is like no other in central Florida. A nice mix of elevation changes. Greens are slow but perfect in maintenance. The only negative is that there are no restrooms on the course. An investment in building at least a restroom on the back nine would yield this hidden gem 5 stars.
Slow play. Slow greens.
My title says it all. There's not enough time between groups in their scheduling. Most everything was okay with the the fairways the greens and the tea boxes. Most of the people playing are seniors who have a tendency to play slower than younger players. As a result their slow play and waiting 10 to 12 to 15 minutes between shots definitely affects a player's performance.
Good round
Spacious course with a nice layout. Great people not only working but golfing as well.
Scotland Yards
True budget course. Tee boxes and greens were in decent shape. Fairways needed some love. Course was open. Not a bad option to go out and play a round for cheap.
Amazing course, really enjoyed playing there
Very friendly staff, beautiful well maintained course, will definitely play there again.
Links style challenge
Played the course twice in last two weeks. Once in hurricane conditions so came back when things were more reasonable. Course in excellent shape. Greens are very good. Tees and fairways good also. Greens are small and well protected. Definitely play again.
Very nice course
Course was in good shape enjoyed the round 1 st time playing there will make an effort to make another tee time nice layout
Great shape
The courses in fantastic shape The pace of play was three and a half hours which is excellent for this time of year. And the prices are very reasonable
enjoyable golf
everything was A okay except some of the fairways were quite bare difficult to find a decent lie.
Pace of Play
Pace was slow after the 6th hole and on the back 9 there was a group of 5 in 3 carts playing in front of us. Slowed down a lot and was not fun waiting on a Saturday afternoon. Never saw a marshal at all.
