Davie Challenge

A challenging layout with an emphasis on being mostly in the fairways. Would be very helpful if the course layout was on the scorecard. A tough call if you have to play it with no prior knowledge . Greens are undulating therefore tough. Course and greens need some work to get into decent condition.Given that this is early March one would expect better course conditions.

Great track

Layout is excellent and in a beautiful natural setting. Surrounding moderate housing rarely encroaches. Imperfections on fairway and greens are easily overlooked. Dramatically contoured Greens are consistent true rolling and fun to putt. If there’s an imperfect spot on the green, just move your ball and appreciate all this great public course offers.

Don’t waste your money

First I got 30 minutes early to use driving range. I was not given a golf cart because they will provide 10 minutes before tee time. I had to walk to the driving range. Driving range has this old mats that are not good if you have forged clubs since they are on concrete and change the lie of your clubs.

The course is in really bad shape. Fairways and greens need to be fixed. Greens have dry patches, holes, and bumpy. Lastly the pace of play is very slow, we were waiting on all the time and no ranger to control pace.

The course was wonderful. Lots of water hazards. Some of the greens were rough. Overall a beautiful course. Lots of wild life.
