Mt. Woodson Golf Club

This course is one that you either love, or hate, no middle ground here. Although one of the shortest tracks around, even from the blue tees, you better have your game under control. Length is not a factor, but accuracy is paramount. Course conditions are almost always above average, and would probably give a higher rating if it were not for the bunkers, as they are about the only below average conditions of the entire course. It's well worth the trip to play Mt Woodson just about any day or time, but suggest starting mid morning, to avoid the wind that rears It's ugly head in the afternoon.

Joined a threesome that play this course regularly which definitely helped. Course is in great shape. Greens are medium speed with lots of undulation. Wasn’t in any traps but they seemed to have good sand. Beautiful views throughout. Would recommend playing this course

Tons of elevation change and target golf shots. Beautiful views, nice fairways, lush greens. Nothing quite like it in SD county.

Great course, but like most places these days...the bunkers need some work. They are working on fairway and green on #10...so temp green played as par 3.

Beautiful setting with a challenging layout. Driving the cart to the third hole feels like an old school woody roller coaster ride. I can’t wait to tee it up again!

Bridge between holes 2 - 3 is a trip. Fairways and greens in very good condition

What a hidden gem. Breathtaking views and many memorable holes. It’s tight with a lot of personality so it’s tricky to play for the first time so you will want to come back. That wooden bridge is unforgettable.

Really enjoyed our round. Short course, but greens with undulations making it tough to read. Would return for sure!

Course is very unique and challenging with precise par 3 holes and a variety of elevations changes throughout the 18 holes. Very fun and scenic course overall with challenging holes for every skill level.

Only negative involves the lack of a driving range to warmup, however they have a net system to use.

Call ahead for food at clubhouse if you need lunch, it does get busy depending on timing. Our foursome all ordered at the turn and got backed up slightly once receiving our order.

Greens were pristine as usual but fairways and rough were a little bare and burnt out. A little early in the year for that. Rate was very reasonable though. Only real complaint was a brutal pace of play.

Love playing here. Challenging but fun and a cool location up in the hills
