pleasant surprise
Nice layout with some great holes. Enough challenge to make it interesting yet playable to make you want to go back. A pleasant surprise. Only con is they should get newer carts.
really enjoy
Course is very fun to play nice condition it's really a hidden gem worth the drive
Nice change of scenery/routine for a great price
Unusual golf course as it is borderline muni maintenance-wise (greens were scalped to baldness, punched, thatch everywhere, normal putting impossible, lumpy tee boxes) but still a great place to get away from it all and have fun. In the late afternoon it was really nice out even in mid-August. Had the course mostly to ourselves with a 3:45 tee time.
Off the beaten track and decent scenery, less than a dollar per hole is a great deal and a welcome relief from the snotty, 8-minute per hole pace of play mediocre courses for which Florida is famous. This and the Florida Club are the best deals around.
Course has come a long way
We've been playing Indianwood for ages. The course has had it's ups and downs, but last fall they got new management and the course is getting better by the day. It's a distance to drive for us (45 miles) but we always have a good time there, some holes are challenging and the back nine is older with mature oaks and native Florida foliage. Good deal and you can get they're golf and lunch special. Friendly staff in the pro shop and restaurant. Greens are a little slow but true. All in all a good place to play and have fun.
Rude
Arrived early for our round. The course was a bit wet as it had been raining earlier. He was extremely rude. So much that our foursome left without playing. This is uncharacteristic. There were not many on the course and the guy in the proshop may have wanted to go home early. Whatever the reason, the level of rudeness was unacceptable. I would not play there for free after being treated like that. We drove almost an hour for the round of golf and drove an hour to find another course.
Nice little course.
The course was in great condition, especially considering the amount of rain that had been in the area the last few days. Other courses in the area were flooded. We had a great time playing this course.
Fun course for the price!
Well laid out and decent course. Just be sure to get a golf cart that will make it through the day!
fun to play
course not very longe but good fore shot shapeing fun to play
Nice course some good holes
Course was in good shape greens had been cross cut and grass was filling in fairway were in good shape a nice day to play except for the ride out to course many love bugs
Despite recent rain, fairways seemed very dry. Greens were very hard. Not busy; played quickly.
I hadn't played here in years so I thought I'd snatch up the great deal they were offering on Golfnow. At 12:30 the course was almost desserted, which was great: no waiting. Greens were very hard & fast. Course was more challenging than I remembered. Great value at the price I paid.
great time
i played the front nine then had a bite to eat with a few beers and the 2 girls were great and gave great serves a beautiful course
worth the ride out there. course was well advertised and we found one that we'll be back.
It was challenging enough to enjoy the round, with a few improvements it could be a jewel.
Great little course for $$. Has a little bit of everything. Water, tight fairways on back. Greens are always in good shape. I
Water on the front to contend w here and there, tight fairways on back. Greens are always in good shape. It's a 55 plus community, so be ready for plenty of golfer's. still moves at good pace and staff is very friendly.
The course may be the best kept secret in Martin County for the price.
My wife and I love Indianwood Golf & Country Club. It's one of our favorite courses to play. It's a beautiful course and not too demanding. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back. The drive to the course is through farmlands and horse ranches. So you are in a relaxed mood when you get there. The on course restaurant always has great lunch and diners. See you there!
This course is a good challenge for good or medium player.
Me and my wife played there in the past and enjoy the round all the time. Two cousin with us,beginner player, but loved the course. Will go back.
Tough par threes
Grounds in good condition, play was slightly slow although the course was extremely busy. Old style golf couse, no dog legs, very level fairways, some difficult greens.
Great Value
I have played this course over 12 times in 2013. It offers great value for the price. The new managemnt is making steady improvents to the course. The greens are very good and so are the tee boxes. If there is one draw back to this course; some of the fairways are very hard. Not all of them but enough to where some attention should be given to them in the future. The course has some challenging holes with a good mix of water, bunkers, and out of bounds. Hopefully they won't price them self out to not make the trip worth while. The pro shop staff and maintainence folks are very nice and the restaurant food is very good with pleasant people to serve you.
Great Value
Great value course. Maintained well, not a pristine course but a fun track for the price.
Indianwood has great value for the $. Pace of play is excellent. The greens can be fuzzy and somewhat inconsistent.
I think Indianwood is a quiet gem. Great value and a challenging
course. I think it plays tougher than the slope/rating. The greens could be faster but they are very adequate for a public layout.
Pace of play moves quickly, generally under 4 hrs. The holes have unique features: water carries, doglegs, large trees that require accurate tee shots. I find the course one that you want to come back to play.
course has great features
The greens are very receptive to high iron shots. They are also great to putt on.There are not many other public courses in Martin county with better greens.Fairways were in good to very good shape. The layout of the course has some very challenging holes.and some longer par 3's.Will definately play here again in the near future.
