About
The Cypress Course is one of two 18-hole, championship courses at Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita. The course has a player-friendly layout with ample fairways and bunkers that are large but generally low lipped. There are some challenges that should not be taken too casually though, including sloped, elevated greens that are heavily guarded and water hazards on fourteen holes. The golf course is known for having scenic par-3 holes that are particularly difficult from the back tees. In addition to the two golf courses, Stonegate Golf Club at Solovita offers practice facilities that include a targeted grass driving range, putting green, and practice bunkers.

Very tight
This was the second time I played this course. I had forgotten how narrow the fairways were, but I soon remembered. Granted I tend to spray the ball a bit but this course is way too narrow for my game. Also many fairways slope towards trouble, just increasing chances of a bad shot. Thr greens were very good however, the best we have played this winter on Florida. Overall I would not play here again but if you hit straight off the tee you may enjoy this course.

I have played in the Orlando area many times but never wandered very far from Disney courses. I didn't know what I was missing. Great course.
No Course Marshall - Slow Pace of Play
Course was in good condition. Problem is we had to play a 5 hour round as there was no Marshall on course. If course can't afford Marshall then at least tell people when they tee off that it will take 5 hours for the round!!!!!

Beautiful course and challenging, pristine condition, take 5 hours 18 homes but a enjoyed complete.
Nice course. A yardage book was not available
The course is very nice. No yardage book was available so several tee shots got us into trouble. Greens were nice for early March. I would play again. Good value for the price. Pace of play was a little slow and the twosome in front of dropped out after 7 holes. We waited on every tee.
best in south Orlando
Played a few courses in the last 4 Weeks. Stonegate in Solivita is the best.
Great Course
Enjoyed the round of golf. Saw lots of alligators. Course very well maintained with lots of signage.
Open courses but challing
Beautifull courses that I like to play again. I hop it will be less windy next time.
Stay centered
Bowled fairways on many holes can take a misplaced drive to the woods very quickly. Otherwise not a difficult course. A lot of public use and lots of ball marks on the greens. Bunkers were in poor shape after a very heavy rainfall so hard to judge how they would be in drier conditions.
Great course
Had a wonderful time playing this course. The course was in very good condition and pace of play was very good. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Look forward to playing there again!
Worth the drive
Beautiful day in poinciana at a great course. The pace was horribly slow because of the crowd so we didn't finish more than 14. The 1 hr drive from Orlando is worth it because of the beauty and challenges.
Fun Coures
Challengiing course with water and numerous sand traps, yet ample landing area. On a number of holes there was a long ride between green and next tee. We will definitely play it again.
Real treat
It was a nice surprise everyone in threesome felt it was best layout and condition we have played. Will defiantly play again.
stonegate cypress course
The course itself is beautiful, the service however is extremely lacking. During our 18 hole round, we never saw the drink cart. The soda machine at the 10th hole was completely sold out of soda and water, the water jugs at each hole had no cups. So, we spent our entire time on the course thirsty. After we finished we went to the "Grille" on-site to have something to eat and drink. We waited 10 mins to even be greeted at the hostess station, then waited an hour and 20 mins for our food and then had to ask the manager for us to even get utensils to eat our food with. On the plus side the food was good.

Pace of play was slow and there are "drives" of a mile or more between some holes

Great place to hit a long drive
Course in great condition for the amount of play. Can't wait for the course dry a bit for that eDrea roll. Green are in great shape and roll true. Maybe a bit slower than I like. I'll be back ofte. Uu in
Great golf
Beautiful course. Well maintained. Played right after overseeing but still great. Better the second time as placement is known
Challenging yet fun to play course
Staff was very friendly at this course. Condition was very good and the variety of holes add to the appeal of this course. Easily recommend this course to all levels of players.
Great experience
Booked randomly and came away with a great experience. Friendly staff who teamed me up with three regulars who were helpful and a pleasure to spend the morning with.

Always a good experience at Stonegate. I have been golfing there for years.36 holes both courses always in good shape. Food at the club house good and reasonably priced.

You must have played Cypress. The Oaks has EXTREMELY wide fairways with little trouble. If anything, the more seasoned golfer might find it to be too easy but for me it was perfect. I would strongly recommend you play the Oaks before concluding that this course is too difficult.
