About
Big Cypress Golf Club is part of a gated golf retirement community called Cypress Lakes. Conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, the club offers two golf courses, the North and the South. The South Course is a championship layout that is more challenging than the executive-length North Course. Both courses are characterized by the abundance of water and swaying palms, offering the best of Florida golf. The South Course plays a long 6,680 yards from the back tees. The course presents a more demanding test than the North, appealing to more advanced players. Florida Golfer and Senior Golfer have recognized its challenging layout for its excellent conditions and design. Maintenance is a top priority at Big Cypress; on both courses the well manicured fairways and greens are consistently in good shape.

Best value
For the money this may be one of the nicest courses I've ever played. The greens are the truest nicest greens I've putted on. The staff was top notch. The local golfers were experienced and awesome! The views are impeccable and overall course was great. I played from the black tees and the box's were impeccable. I did see a few white and green box's that could use a little love but I would highly recommend this course and will return again to play!!
New Home Course
Played afternoon round on hot sunny day. Course is in a 55 & over community , with these weather conditions no pace of play issues. Fairways , greens &tee boxes all good. Not a tight course but not wide open either. Greens a touch slow. Staff friendly with nice restaurant at end of the round.

OMG!!! This is a GREAT GOLF COURSE!!
I teed off at around 12:30 PM and virtually had the course to myself!
The fairways were immaculate, and the greens were of tour quality!
There is no doubt why the scores is rated in the top 25 in the state of Florida!

Outstanding Staff!
First time playing.
Played with 3 gap toothed, mouthbreathing, flatulent buddies. We had a good time in the heat and humidity. Seriously, it was hotter than (expletive deleted). The course was in good condition. Greens are coming back from being punched. They rolled true, just a little grabby. The highlight of the day was the staff. They all were terrific. They deserve a raise or a commemortive coffee mug. They were quick, efficient and always had a smile.
rules
It is my favorite course in Lakaland, the price was high considering the conditions of the course and the fact that the greens had been aereated , it was posted on the Golf Pass booking, but I didn,t notice, however, when we got there we asked if we could play as a fivesome and were told that the rules didnt allow it, but when we started playing there were no groups behind us, so we ask the ranger if we could play as a five, and he refused. We had to play 18 holes in two groups and there was never anyone behind us. I can understand the rule, but in certain cases it could be adjusted, Because of that, we were not able to enjoy our round. Still,my favorite course.
All around great course
Friendly staff, course was in fantastic shape from tee to green. Glad I played white tees, plenty of opportunities to score well. Playing from the tips introduces many more challenges to carry.

Great value and conditions
Played this course for the first time and was very impressed. Best value for your money in the area. Staff was very friendly and directed me to the first hole. Fairways a lush green and greens roll true. Will definitely be back for another round.
Quiet and serene
Friendly staff, pristine greens, well maintained course. Lots of wildlife on course. Not many sand traps which I avoided. Just enough water holes to make play interesting. Did not stay and eat at restaurant, cannot comment.
