About
Big Cypress Golf Club is part of a gated golf retirement community called Cypress Lakes. Conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, the club offers two golf courses, the North and the South. The South Course is a championship layout that is more challenging than the executive-length North Course. Both courses are characterized by the abundance of water and swaying palms, offering the best of Florida golf. The South Course plays a long 6,680 yards from the back tees. The course presents a more demanding test than the North, appealing to more advanced players. Florida Golfer and Senior Golfer have recognized its challenging layout for its excellent conditions and design. Maintenance is a top priority at Big Cypress; on both courses the well manicured fairways and greens are consistently in good shape.

My favorite course within driving distance.
This was my 3rd time playing here and will get a couple more rounds before going home. The course is in great shape even though we haven’t had much rain. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Aerated
Disappointing the front side was aerated today had to play the back by myself behind a number of foursomes. Not much the ranger could do. I drove an hour to get here as I like the course

Disappointed today, aerated the front nine and closed it, had to play the back twice by myself (three others didn’t show). Behind multiple foursomes this a slow, frustrating round. Drove an hour to play it as I do 2-3x a year..

Good Course
Strong neighborhood course full of pride. The community was rocking! Energetic atmosphere.
I traveled an hour to play a 5* course. The course is a good course, just not 5*.
Greens were immaculate. Don't recall seeing any ball marks at all. Layout was solid. Fairways clean and defined. 1 or 2 tee boxes were stressed but overall the course was in good shape.
If I lived in the area this would certainly be a course that I played often.

What a great atmosphere. Definitely a nice golf community.
Outstanding course conditions. Music playing at poolside. Greens were perfect. Greens were not too fast and not slow. Fairways excellent. Tee boxes were great. Bunkers in great shape. Just a beautiful course. Not too tricky. Good for all handicap levels. I would play here over and over again. Excellent day playing golf. A+++
Beautiful course!
We enjoyed this course. It has some nice signature holes with water in play. Only slight issue was their rental clubs. One of our guests needed rental clubs and they were a mish mash of all different iron makes with a Junior driver. Apart from that it was a great experience.
