South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

First, I loved this course. Great layout, well maintained, and clearly professionally managed. If I had to say anything negative at all it would be that I felt I needed a tetanus shot just sitting in the cart. Very old, haul butt though. Pace was a little slow but kept moving.

Course is in great shape. I was playing with s friend. Just two of us. We had a horrible foursome in front of us. Literally had to wait 10-15 minutes on each hole. Would have liked for the starter to come out and monitor this group. Other then that great course

1st time player @ GC and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The course is in great shape and the staff is very friendly. Probably had some members in front of me who took some time to let me, a single, play through but that has nothing to do with the course. Excuse me if I'm making an assumption that they may have been members but that has been a problem at times in the past. Golf etiquette shouldn't matter if you're a member or not. This course was a long ride for me & I had to finally figure out to put in Big Cypress Blvd. for my GPS to pick it up. It was worth the drive.

Golf Now said there was a 90 degree rule but when we got to the course it was cart path only! There should have been an update. The course was very wet

Besides the blazing afternoon heat, course played great! Layout is excellent/very fair to the 12-handicapper. Great experience from staff to play!

course got a lot of rain the day before cart path only it was wet but not that bad there doing some work on all the greens small and big squares cut out with the green sand filling it in for a Saturday it was wide open because it being wet no big issues I always like playing this course

After all the rain Thursday night the course wad cart path only, but it was still in fantastic shape. They do a great job out there of keeping the greens, fairways and tee boxes green and in great shape. Can't wait to play out there again. In my opinion the best course in Lakeland.

The South Course at Big Cypress is a wonderful place to play. Unlike the North Course, which is an executive layout, the South Course is a full-sized par 72 course. The gentlemen at the pro shop are very friendly and helpful. Bob, the starter/ranger, was very thorough in explaining the course layout, tips for getting around, and the rules. A few greens were under repair (hence the super-low rate we paid), but elsewhere, the greens, tee boxes, and fairways were near-immaculate. Amenities like cold water interspersed around the course were welcome on the super-hot Florida summer day. You can also order a snack with a phone placed at the ninth tee box — a nice touch. Even the bathrooms are nice. Definitely the classiest course in North Lakeland that regular people can play.

A great lay out the course is in pristine condition the staff is great as well you will see deer and turkey while you were playing golf a must play

Course was in great shape overall. A few tight tee shots but overall a very easy course with wide fairways and few bunkers. Very enjoyable to play. Greens were in phenomenal shape.

I live in Sarasota and met a couple of buddies in Lakeland to play here. Great conditions and a really fun course to play. It was a lot tougher than the yardage on the scorecard reflected. There are some tight tee shots from the tips and awkward yardages to keep it in play at times. Moving the ball in both directions off the tee definitely helps here. The greens are pretty large and in great condition, but filled with slopes and hills. Those are really the defense of this course. A lot of fun to play. I'll definitely be back.

The course looked good except The greens had been aerated earlier that week so a little bumpy but not that bad just had to hit your putt harder to keep its line

Solid challenging but not so tough as to be grueling .room to rip it ,within reason! Greens putt true and held well .tees had been punched but it's that time of year . Ball sat up nicely on the fairway . All in all a great treat for last game before heading back to Nova Scotia

This course is in good shape. The layout is challenging. There are some great holes. From the back tees it plays about 6500 yards but there are some large carries you really have to be on your game. Greens were good. Not slow not too fast. Staff is great. Friendly and efficient. I’ll be back.

One of the best in central Florida and priced right. What an enjoyable round of golf.

Great greens - fast, undulating, and rolls well.

Fairways are nice, need water, but all of Florida needs rain.

Tees are well maintained except for 13 & 15.

Overall, great price for a fun track to play.
