South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

I had heard good reports about this course but was disappointed to find the fairways basically hard and dormant making it nearly impossible to take a divot.Most of the tees pretty beat up and not very level.I will concede the greens were good but a little slow.Until they fertilize and water the fairways ,I won't be back.Looks like a cost cutting process going on.

We love the course but unlike other rounds this took 5 hours because of the back up from the frost delay.

The course was in excellent condition and the course layout was great The greens were smooth and fast. There were lots of water hazards to make the course more interesting and challenging. The staff were friendly and professional. i definitely recommend this course to anyone.

On the plus side, the course has some of the best putting surfaces in central Florida. The conditions are very good, their speeds are fast and consistent, and the contouring is keeping in character of the course. The course is fairly short but a premium is placed on approach location. On the minus, the design has some flaws, especially some tee locations from the back tees. Watch out for the houses, they can be in play. Getting started is a bit confusing as there is quite a bit of conjestion outside the pro shop. Restaurant, snack bar is below average and slow.

Great course layout and beautiful views. Bring extra balls.

Nice course in a subdivision. Lots of water, check the signs on the tee boxes. Lost a ball when I thought there was no water, was I wrong. Fairways are generous.

The only complaint was the practice green was slow. Not so on the course they were fast, until 17 and 18 they were a lot slower.

I really enjoyed this track. From the tees I played, green, the course was challenging but fair. The greens and tee boxes were in great shape. Overall the course was in very good to excellent conditions. The tee box on the range the day I played was pretty chewed up.

I plan on playing it again soon.

As always this course is in terrific condition. A couple of the tee boxes need some work, but other than that you couldn't ask for anything more.

Course was crowded as we were paired up with another 2 some, they were staying on site and have played before so could help us on what to avoid. Some tee boxes were rough from lots of play. Fairways thin but getting greener by the day. Greens were good shape running good pace,some hard as could not find ball mark on some

First time playing here and the layout was tight from the back tees but it it was a great experience with fantastic greens that were rolling really fast. Definitely will be back

The course is always in great condition and the Zoysa greens are fantastic! The courses is always well manicured and the staff is extremely polite and customer service oriented! It’s always a go to for our group! It has multiple tees for all levels. I would describe it as challenging while very fair- with an emphasis on accuracy.

As always this course is in great condition and fun to play. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Just dont see this as a 4 star course . Fairways were thin, Tee boxes were worn. Its a fairly tough track, and the greens were in nice shape. If not for the greens this course wouldn't be much.
