South Course at Big Cypress Golf & Country Club

This course is always in great condition tee's, greens, fairways. Combined with a great layout always becomes a great day of golf .

The course is in excellent shape; no bad spots on greens, fairways nice, and rough not bad either. Even with all the rain it’s 90 degree rule and cart path only, but that fine because it kerr wet ps the course in good condition.

Great course. Greens have apparently been punched recently and were a little bumpy but didn’t affect the ball greatly. We’ve had quite a bit of rain in the area recently and it looked as if the grass had been high when they mowed with a lot of dead mowed grass in the rough which created problems at times when looking for a ball in the rough. I know the rain has created some maintenance problems for staff as this course is usually in pristine condition. Very busy day with lots of golfers on the course. All in all a very enjoyable round.

Course was somewhat soggy, so the play was not as pure. Thus is a eell maintained course. The roughs did eat up the golf balls as they were hard to find at times. My solution would be hit the fairway. Greens were recovering from aeration but we're comingn in nice. Medium speed greens. Tee boxes and fairways in great shape. Price was just ok as a few other courses charge less and are equal in quality. That would be my biggest knock. Bar/restaurant had a good menu and good food. Server/bartender was awesome.

First off, the place is in a trailer park. Let’s get that out of the way first. Secondly, the place looks like it was built in the 1980s and hasn’t been renovated since. The golf carts are old and smelly, they need replacing. Everything was worn down. The only decent thing were the greens, but even then, they were just passable. I usually don’t leave reviews, but I drove almost a hour away for this course and it was a huge waste of time. Bottom 3 course I probably ever played at in my life.

Horrible course. Overrated would be putting it nicely. Looks like it was built in the 80s and hasn’t been renovated since. The golf carts need to be replaced. They charge wayyyy more than normal for golf balls. The only thing that was acceptable were the greens. They were decent. They don’t even have a cooler on their golf carts.

Play often and have never been disappointed greens always good shape and roll true a little slow right now. Tee boxes and fairways great shape was cart paths only with all rain completely understandable will play again and often

For starters this course is in a trailer park so the residents/members standards are questionable to begin with. I've seen this course on here for a while and yesterday decided on a whim to book a tee time and make the hour drive. When I got the the gate of the trailer park the guy wouldn't let me in and I had to find the email proving I had a tee time. I get into the clubhouse to check in. And the guy tels me there's no more tee times for the day. I said I'm sorry but check again. I needed balls so I asked for a box of tour softs and he charged me for pro v. I was then on my own to find a cart and when I did finally someone. Came and told me it was the wrong one and made me switch. The driving range was closed on a Sunday leaving me no opportunity to warm up. I made it through 8 holes before being rained out and when I tried to get a rain check the place was locked up and empty at 5pm. The bartender couldn't be bothered to even acknowledge me for almost 10 minutes while i attemted to ask her for a raincheck.I ended up leaving the balls in the cart by mistake so effectively paid way too much for a mediocre course in a trailer park. My local muni is a better course and somehow this has a great rating. If I lived super close I may find value in this course if it's more that 20 minutes you can likely find better closer

After moving to Tampa recently, I’ve been trying to explore different courses and was very happy to come across this course. Truly a hidden gem nearby Tampa - great conditions and price!
