About
Big Cypress Golf Club is part of a gated golf retirement community called Cypress Lakes. Conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, the club offers two golf courses, the North and the South. The South Course is a championship layout that is more challenging than the executive-length North Course. Both courses are characterized by the abundance of water and swaying palms, offering the best of Florida golf. The South Course plays a long 6,680 yards from the back tees. The course presents a more demanding test than the North, appealing to more advanced players. Florida Golfer and Senior Golfer have recognized its challenging layout for its excellent conditions and design. Maintenance is a top priority at Big Cypress; on both courses the well manicured fairways and greens are consistently in good shape.

Nice layout
The course was in great condition. The greens were fast but not too fast and rolled really well. Lots of water on the course but not too difficult to play around. Will definitely play again.
Always a gem!
The greens are always excellent! In great shape tee to green. My only complaint here can be the pace sometimes. It’s a 55+ community and as we all know, at places like this, the members own it, and like to think they are the only ones out there.
Hidden Gem
Very nice course, lots of water. Several tee boxes to chose from to play. Greens were in good shape and fairways were decent. I would definitely play this course again.
Great Saturday Golf Day
Another great outing at this course. Course was in great shape from tee to green as usual. Pace was great and no waiting on a single tee box except the first one. Played as a single with three other great guys.
Only negative was that the Credit card machine was down, but the 6 beers for $12.83 at the turn was a great deal and made up for it.
Lots of great wildlife with Sand Hill Cranes and many gators to be seen in their element. Classic Florida golf!
Nice course and would play again
Nice course, good layout. Still dealing with hurricane cleanup and a few trees down and bunkers requiring work, but overall the course was in very good shape. A couple of the tee boxes would benefit from some leveling, but we certainly play again.
Another Great Experience
I was able to get in a round prior to the rate hike on 11/1. Not going to be worth what they will charge $70 but still a good course.
From tee to green on every hole, this course is in great shape post hurricane Milton. There is some damage but it's confined to the trees, where you don't want to be anyway.
I suggest you play with someone or you will be waiting because most of the other patrons won't let you play through. Luckily I was able to hook up with another player and that made it bearable. Played in under 4 hours.
One of the best
This course is always in great condition tee's, greens, fairways. Combined with a great layout always becomes a great day of golf .
Great day
The course is in excellent shape; no bad spots on greens, fairways nice, and rough not bad either. Even with all the rain it’s 90 degree rule and cart path only, but that fine because it kerr wet ps the course in good condition.
