About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

Best short course around
Prior to moving my wife and I and friends played so much we were regulars. The course may be short but is also challenging. I have nothing but great things to say about the course and staff. It’s a 2 hour drive now for us but will make the trip because of staff and course .
Needs Work
Have played the Groves for many years. Have stuck with them through good and bad course conditions and a few too many price increases. The ever increasing problems now are overcrowding, pace of play and too many group outings during prime playing times. Some members, feeling entitled, play slowly and sometimes end up with multiple carts at the tee. It's often difficult to even get a tee time due to group outings and/or leagues. When overcrowded, which happens a lot, they don't honor wishes to play as a twosome. These things need to be fixed.
Always an enjoyable round
Always an enjoyable round greens are always impeccable/ Fairways are always in great shape but not much area for rough but definitely a shot makers course if you’re along hitter might not use your driver

We love this course. This time, however, it was way overbooked. We had to wait on most holes with the wait increasing with each successive hole. We left after 9 because the wait took away the fun.

Playing the Groves is always a lot of fun....a very demanding "short course".....stray shots can find water and woods.....the greens were fast and in perfect condiiton.....sand traps perfect and water on nearly every hole.....the staff is always friendly and accommodating....
The Groves is in sensational condition It is in better shape than county clubs that charge $60 to $100.The GPS screens on the carts was a pleasant surprise.
Husband could only use driver twice, but an excellent golf course. Staff was so welcoming
Excellent value
This course is a family favorite when arriving from minneapolis . Staff are very friendly .
