About
Plantation Palms Golf Club, designed by David Harman, provides every Tampa golfer with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. The links-style design starts with a welcoming par 5, and then slowly steps up with a mixture of strong par 3s. Just 10 minutes north of Tampa, this course was carved a 400-acre citrus grove that slopes from west to east, providing interesting elevation changes. Water is in play on 17 of 18 holes. Plantation Palms Golf Club has an attractive framing of greens by the use of pine trees, water and large snow-white sand traps. The true-rolling elevated greens have good movement and are a challenge for golfers.

Great Experience
From being met by friendly outside teams, to being made welcome in the pro shop, first impressions were terrific. That didn’t change throughout my day. Bartender was also very friendly. Seems the atmosphere created by leadership is really taken to heart. My second round the next day was very similar. Louis the starter put me with 2 friendly members when my original group no showed. Both days were great experiences.
Not worth 90
I’ve heard great things about this course, apparently they rebuilt some portions of the course.
Course is not in bad shape but once we got to the first part 3 and they had us hitting from 70 yards I knew we made a mistake. The greens are fine for the weather we’ve had but there is multiple types of grass throughout and it makes it hard to adjust. Fairways are thin in most areas and we had to play roll to good lie. In my opinion there is definitely better value out there.
Also having to lug my clubs in from the parking lot is not cool
Pace of play was awful
Despite all of the warnings and “threats” of having people skip a hole if they fall behind pace of play none of that ever happened. We were backed up on hole 13 and 40 minutes behind pace of play during a twilight round and just decided to leave. This happened the first time we played as well.

Greens were in good shape.
Overall the course was in pretty good shape. The pace of play was pretty slow. Hopefully that is just a one time occurrence.
Great Comeback!
Was really pleasantly surprised with yesterday‘s visit to plantation Palms, had played their many years ago, and I knew that the course had fallen on a little financial difficulty, well that seems to be changed, it is certainly a golf first environment, beautiful practice facility as well as a staff that makes sure every need is attended to. This is not exclusive to plantation palms, but the pace of play should be addressed a little more, I wish more golfers understood the term ready golf. Otherwise a great experience.
Good Course Good Conditions
Course is in good shape and they keep it green with lots of water.Greens are receptive and fairways were soft. Nice range, nice restaurant.
