About
Plantation Palms Golf Club, designed by David Harman, provides every Tampa golfer with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. The links-style design starts with a welcoming par 5, and then slowly steps up with a mixture of strong par 3s. Just 10 minutes north of Tampa, this course was carved a 400-acre citrus grove that slopes from west to east, providing interesting elevation changes. Water is in play on 17 of 18 holes. Plantation Palms Golf Club has an attractive framing of greens by the use of pine trees, water and large snow-white sand traps. The true-rolling elevated greens have good movement and are a challenge for golfers.

Wet feet
The course was extremely wet I only wish golf now had a course alert for CPO besides that I would love to play again when it dries out. The greens were still fast despite all the rain fall and in nice shape, the fairways and bunkers were pretty good also.
Great Time!
Had a great time golfing this beautiful course while in Tampa on vacation. It was hot, but a quick rain cooled it off right after we got started. Lovely course.
No cart Girl made for a hot afternoon since no coolers allowed.
Great golf atmosphere
The course was in very good shape. The entire experience was outstanding. I haven't played they're in ages. Forgot how good of layout it was. They had music playing, great looking putt putt course. Family's enjoying a nice afternoon and evening all while growing the game. Good stuff!!!! Only complaint gotta punch a couple holes to chip and putt in. Metal domed grates? Ouch. Thanks for a great time we had a blast!!!!!
Drenched course
I've played this course a handful of times over the last year and for whatever reason it just doesn't soak up the rain at all. Had to play cart path only and every hole was like walking on a wet sponge.
The greens are pretty good and probably would be immaculate but people just don't fix their ball marks, I bought my son a new divot tool and we both fixed multiple divots every green.
Conditions have gone down
The rough had not been cut, lost 5 balls barely off the fairway, some t boxes need alot of help. Dead areas around green.
This course creates an environment to use more clubs in your bag versus just he same clubs.
Great layout, pushed the player to use more of the clubs in his bag. I would like to see the breaks in the green to roll the ball a little more true. Facilities are great and Bar and Restaurant has great atmosphere and food. Great having a beverage cart on the course!
Nice Course
First time playing here. Nice facilities and helpful & friendly staff. Somewhat challenging layout but fair. Greens were rolling nicely. Fairways and tee boxes in average shape due to summer weather. Rough was a little higher than expected but not a big deal. Restaurant food was very good and the staff was friendly and efficient. Definitely will come back to play again.
Obnoxiously slow pace of play
Waiting after every tee shot and finishing holes. Horrible pace of play almost 5 hours for a round with a 2 some. They book tee times too close together. Fairways nice and greens roll true, fast and are very firm providing a good challenge. Tee boxes could use some work as they are trimmed a bit long. If it wasn’t for such a bad pace of play today I would give a better rating. Just prepare to be waiting the whole round.
Excellent public course and Staff with great facilities.
I play all over Florida and the northeast and this place checks all of my boxes. From the time I pulled up to the time I lfelt welcome. The bag drop attendant walked over to my car, the starter was super friendly and welcomed me to the course, and the shop attendant was helpful as well. The starter did a great job pairing up groups to not have two-somes all over the course. The Course was in great condition and was very nice for the $$. Played an early round and finished in 3.5 hours.
If you are in the tampa area check it out.
Keep in mind my tee time was 7:45am which makes a big difference in the time of the round and the people that are golfing. The golfers are there to golf and get done in a reasonable time to enjoy the rest of the day.
Even aerated, a great experience
Aerated Wednesday, and disclosed when I called the pro shop. "Not rolling bad", I was told. Overall true and the course is in great shape.
