About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Course condition
I think this course is in better shape then any area course. Pace of play was good.
Ventian Club
I was told they have been working on the greens and they are MUCH better than they were a number of months ago. Still bare patches in spots, but with warmer weather & TLC they should be gone sooner than later.
Great track
Greens bit rough on front 9, but really much better on back. Worth the money and not busy.
Pace of play
Starter mentioned if the pace was slow they would come move us along, the group in front of us held us up and we didn’t finish our round because we ran out of daylight. 5 hours for a round is out of control and no ranger ever came to move anyone along. Only finished 15 holes in 5 hours.

Staff great
Friendliest staff that I have encountered this year . My husband has walking issue and they turned the GPS to staff mode so he could drive to ball as needed

For all the amenities and consistent course condition, it is 1 of the top 5 I play out of 20 courses!
Great Layout
I have played Venetian many times. I have not been here for a few months. Unfortunately, the greens were not in good shape. Bumpy and slow for Venetian. Did not always putt true. But we felt that the fairways were in good shape. All in all, this is still a great course with interesting holes. If the greens were back to their usual shape, this course is a five. Winter has been tough for many Florida courses and I expect this course to bounce back. And extremely friendly employees. I'll be back.
