About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

MUST PLAY
TRY TO PLAY HERE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ,ALWAYS IN GOOD SHAPE . LIKE THE LAYOUT OF COURSE ONLY PROBLEM DONT GO AFTER A HEAVY RAIN IT GETS SLOPPY BUT QTHER THEN THAT ITS A REAL NICE FUN DAY
All day long slow play and no rangers
Teed off at 1:00 got to the 16th hole in 5 hours couldn't complete play because of the slow play in front of us no rangers horrible greens are halfway decent every Green is different in speed a lot of dead areas in the fairways also in a rough area bonkers fall water not worth it and now they're going up on their price find a different course in the area
Annual trip
I play at Venetian every time I visit the area. The greens were in grate shape. There were a few areas around the edges that they lost, but overall they rolled extremely well. Fairways were good. Roughs are getting a little thin in spots but over all the course is very playable. Staff was friendly and helpful
very wet and rainy day for golf!
for a nasty day were mother nature was not cooperating. Was surprised how well the course had drained. No sitting water and course actually played well for two days of rain. Greens were in great condition. Looked good. Putting true and we’re very fast. Quite a surprise for the weather I was playing in. I have played this course before, but it was never in this good of shape! thumbs up to the crew!
Rainy Day, but still a good day for Golf!
Rain & Mist on/off the whole round, but still a good day. Fairways nice and green. Greens fast! Pace was fast since not many golfers chancing the weather. Tee Off discount great rate.

Something Positive
I have played here while on vacations for probably 15 years. Always been a nice course, but the employees seem different. They were uniformly pleasant. The course was in great shape. It's fun to play, not too difficult (although some of the holes, particularly on the back, can be round wreckers). Played early in the morning, off-season, so pace of play was good. Altogether, a fun day.
Great course, good layout, fun to play.
This course is in good shape, greens are firm and fast, rolling true. Fairways and t-boxes are good, some spots burned out but overall in good shape. Due to a tournament the pins were challenging, however it made for a fun round. Will be back to play this again.
Really Slow
They had a women's tournament Today that really pushed things back. I wouldn't have purchased on this day if I had known. The course should list this on there specials.
