The Club at Venetian Bay

We have been trying different courses in the Volusia County area. While mainly sticking to West Volusia and going to Victoria Hills or DGCC, we found a new regular spot at Venetian Bay. Great new golf carts, wide fairways, and good quality greens. The staff is super nice and the whole area is laid back. The pace of play was great for being there on a Tuesday afternoon. Will definitely be back!

It was a great time. The course is still recovering but recovering well from aeration of the greens. The greens still rolled well. Always in great shape. Had a great lunch.

The course is in very good condition. The greens were a tad slow, but I think they will begin cutting them lower and rolling them at some point. The grass on the greens and fairways are very healthy and well maintained.

Love this course! Would give it 5-Stars but the greens were punched two weeks ago, so they were a bit slow and bumpy. Play there with this in mind and you won’t be disappointed!

Pace of play on a Monday holiday was good, 4 1/2 hours, not bad, course was packed!

Food in the Club House is excellent and drinks are priced appropriately, not too expensive!

Green still recovering from aeration. A lite bumpy and slow. Some traps had standing water in them.

Only glitch was the course paired my partner and me with a young couple and a tag-along sister. Three people, two, carts, and ONE set of clubs. We played the first hole together. The couple each took about 10 shots on the first hole, if you didn't count the complete misses and the balls that only dribbled a few feet. The guy also insisted on walking to his ball, rather than taking the cart. Although I have no idea why the starter even let them tee off with one set of clubs, he did drive out twice on the first hole to tell them to speed it up. My partner and I teed off quickly on the second hole, said see ya, and left them behind.

Course in great shape. Greens and fairways still punched but doesn't affect play.

This was my first time playing Venetian Bay. The coarse had just been areated, but it didn’t affect the play at all. Challenging layout. The coarse was very green and well managed. Very nice driving range and chipping and putting area. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The clubhouse was really nice with some great choices on the menu. . Overall, I think is is now one of my favorite courses. I would highly recommend Venetian bay.

Greens were sandy and aerated but was told in advance. Wish Victoria Hills took care of the course like they do.

Even with a Ranger patrolling the course, play was too slow. 4:45 is far too long to be playing golf on a hot day. If we did not have to wait, our threesome can finish consistently in 3:15. We ride in carts for goodness sakes. Play should be fast.

Fairways in great shape, greens have some patches but pin placements were set up to make those areas a non issue. Pro shop staff is very friendly and accommodating

Fairways were recently aerated - greens sanded.

The course was still very playable - I'd imagine in a few weeks this course will be very nice.

Fun track - mostly wide open - many tee boxes cater to all handicaps.

As expected for this time of the year the greens were very rough. Nice easy course to play. Fairways were in pretty good shape.
