About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Very Nice Course
Great course for the money! Wide open, forgiving fairways. Nice true greens.
Great day ruined by a 6-some of members
We went out at 11am Sunday expecting it to be a hot but beautiful day. Course was in good shape, greens were a little bumpy because of un-repaired ball marks.
We could not understand why it was so slow until be got to the 15tth hole. There, on 17, were 4 carts with 6 members playing.
Note to owners - this will kill your course.
We enjoyed the day, except for the members who were not aware of the impact that they were causing to the 8 or 9 groups behind them.
Local Resident
Course is in the best shape I have seen it in many years. The only thing stopping from rating the course condition is the sand traps. The traps are always flooding from rain. They were pumping the water out of the worst traps.

Good course with fair price. Excellent staff and nice amenities including frriendly bartenders, cart attendants and on course beverage service. Quick food at the turn and plenty of ice was nice! Some good pin placements and gracious fairways but a lot of forced carries makes it challenging. Worth the trip

Great golf course
Everyone gold course related was very nice. Course was in good condition and challenging. We will be back. However, went to restaurant after playing 18 holes to eat, waitress brought water and left us sitting there for at least 15 minutes so we left. Two of them were talking at the bar, then all the wait staff went into kitchen, laughing and eating. We left.

Nice design but it's not the nicest course around. The staff was great though.
Greens still recovering. They punched big holes , give it 3 to 4 weeks . Waste of time and money.
Nice day with my friends
Since the rainy season hitting the course is turning right. We like the course layout greens reachable in 2 without pulling out a 2 iron. The greens were irrelated so putting was somewhat difficult to measure speed. We had a great time and will play again soon.
