Heron Creek Golf and Country Club - Marsh/Creek Course

From bag drop to a beer aprés the day was perfect.

Second time playing Heron Creek. Played the Oak & Marsh course. Expect a 4 1/2 hr round. Nice range, putting & chipping area.

The real deal Heron Creek Golf and Country Club! Too many good things to say! Most important to myself was tee boxes, fareways, and greens were in excellent conditions. The scenery of the course is beautiful. The course layouts, as there is 3-9hole courses ( oak, creek, marsh) is intimidating, challenging, yet lots of fun! Bring lots of golf balls just incase, will come back!

I enjoyed my day at this golf course. It was manicured and was meticulously done. My only complaint was that the greens weren’t fast and very inconsistent. Going forward, if they improve on the greens, this is definitely a 5 star course.

Played this course several times in the past. Nice layout. Unfortunately this time was carts on path due to the amount of rain they received. Can’t control the weather. We didn’t use the course amenities so no rating there. Also due to the rain I didn’t rate course conditions. It’s usually in good shape though based on past experience.

Experience was ruined by pace of play. Needed to stop playing after 15 holes and drove in only to see 2-1/2 open holes in front of a ridiculously slow foursome (rangers should have moved the group). Heron Creek may have over-booked the course which added to the problem

On holiday from UK and picked up a good deal to play Heron Creek, so was hoping the course would be good and it certainly was. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Practice range was excellent with separate short game area and balls included. We played the Oaks and Marsh courses, both very interesting layouts with some tricky short holes that really made you think about your strategy. Course condition was excellent and greens were fast and true and again required some thought to putt well. Only visited one bunker but it was well maintained and easy to recover from.

We were paired up with a good player who knew the course and gave helpful hints on line and position of hazards, which increased the experience for us. The pace of play felt a little slow at 4.5 hours, but we were a 3 ball in amongst 4 balls and the course was very busy, so probably a pretty good pace in reality.

I would happily play here again and would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Played for first time and had a 1:45 tee time so needed to play in about 4 and 1/2 hours. Played smooth for abou 8 holes the play slowed way down so you know it was probably one group. People ahead of us seemed to only care if they finished. Would have been nice if ranger had stayed around and kept people moving right behind the group in front. We finished but couldn’t see our balls at all on last hole - did not need to be that way.

Good layout , just wish pace of play was a little faster 4/12 iOS a little long.
