Excellent course
On holiday from UK and picked up a good deal to play Heron Creek, so was hoping the course would be good and it certainly was. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Practice range was excellent with separate short game area and balls included. We played the Oaks and Marsh courses, both very interesting layouts with some tricky short holes that really made you think about your strategy. Course condition was excellent and greens were fast and true and again required some thought to putt well. Only visited one bunker but it was well maintained and easy to recover from.
We were paired up with a good player who knew the course and gave helpful hints on line and position of hazards, which increased the experience for us. The pace of play felt a little slow at 4.5 hours, but we were a 3 ball in amongst 4 balls and the course was very busy, so probably a pretty good pace in reality.
I would happily play here again and would certainly recommend it to anyone.
Very Satisfied
Played for first time and had a 1:45 tee time so needed to play in about 4 and 1/2 hours. Played smooth for abou 8 holes the play slowed way down so you know it was probably one group. People ahead of us seemed to only care if they finished. Would have been nice if ranger had stayed around and kept people moving right behind the group in front. We finished but couldn’t see our balls at all on last hole - did not need to be that way.

Total waste of money
It was the most painfully slow round of golf of my life of 25 years of playing. An unnecessary amount of staff that essentially does nothing to make the experience better or speed up play. They should be paying us for a 6 hour round. Total waste of money.

Course is great, Marshall’s need a lesson in humility
Course was in good shape. Great practice facilities, Marshall’s were rude from the first minute we met them. We were told to pick up pace of play and we finished in 3:40. You could see that this was a retirement community full of old uptight dudes. Just seemed like they needed a reminder that golf is supposed to be fun:

Marsh-Creek
Played after 2 days of heavy rain, do cart path only. Normally I'd recommend highly but layout of cartpaths is very unsuitable for path only golf. Not their fault since it was very wet which very unusual.
A free cancellation/raincheck always preferable to path only round at Heron Creek.

Great layout, course is in excellent shape. Ladies League on Thursdays, very slow play.

Nice course
Enjoyed playing the course. Ended up as a two some in between all foursomes. Tee off was 1:10 pm and just finished at sunset after 4 1/2 hrs. Nice practice facility and friendly staff.
Lovely course
Enjoy the course and will likely play there again in the future.
Our party consisted of two proficient players and two intermediate players so we played a scramble to keep a good pace. The Ranger reported that we were slow by 30 minutes early into the back 9 and the members behind us complained. I don’t know how we could have played faster and feel the complaint was unnecessary. It was also an unpleasant ending to an otherwise nice day even in spite of the rain.
