Heron Creek Golf and Country Club - Marsh/Creek Course

We had the best time. From the moment we pulled into the parking lot. The ranger in the lot was on top of it. The pro shop and locker room stunning. The staff in the club house super efficient and kind. The starter was such a dear and very informative. The marshals we encountered were courteous and insightful, as well as encouraging. And then when we finished we spoke to a staff member from cape code and he was the sweetest. The cart girl was so funny and quick. Loved the layout and the course. Could use some better signage but maybe that’s me. I’ve never golfed anywhere with a better staff our course conditions. Challenging and amazing value for the cost. Thank you to all. .

Very nice, well maintained driving range. Putting and chipping greens were slow and bumpy, a sign of things to come. The layout is terrific with very generous fairways and some elevation changes which is rare in SW Florida. My biggest issue was with the greens. They were top dressed recently so very sandy and slow. Even so, there were many bare spots that were literally just sand. Also didn’t care for the long drives from green to the next tee. A few seemed like 1/2 mile treks. Another negative for me was no GPS in the carts, so bring your range finder and GPS map so you don’t miss the water hazards you might not be able to see. Staff was very helpful.

We really enjoyed ourselves on this course. The golf was great, but we were constantly nagged by the rangers to pickup our pace. Even though we were moving fairly well. We were playing best ball as a foursome, and we hardly saw anyone behind us waiting.

I wouldn't have minded once or twice notices...but it was constant.

Otherwise I'd go back, because the course was terrific.

Pace of play was hindered by a group, 3 groups in front of us.

That said the course was beautiful, well maintained, difficult at times and staff was knowledgeable, polite, accommodating and professional. Played many courses, this ranks at the top.

The facilities and course layout were great. However, the greens were not in good condition. They had apparently been punched recently and had not filled in yet.

Also, I reserved the tee time on line for 2 people and had to prepay it. A third person joined us and he was able to pay at the course and he paid $20 less than I did.

Play was slow for most of the round.

This was the first time playing here we enjoyed our day, The course was in great shape envy after that nights 5 inches of rain. The staff were friendly and helpful we will definitely play here again even with the long drive to get there.

We're localish. Whether it's the "in" season or summer, the folks here are always pleasant to deal with. They have three 9's and all of them are solid. (Oaks probably being the best). Good value and no complaints. When it's snowbird season expect slower pace of play(obviously).

Course in great shape, staff very friendly! Left a wedge on course, staff was most helpful with getting it back to me. Pace of play was perfect! Would definitely recommend to friends!

This us a VERY nice course and the grounds crew keep it in great condition. Just don’t look for a turn dog in the bar/restaurant.

My review is in my opinion.. First of all can’t understand why you play certain holes 90 degrees and then you get to like #3 on Oaks cart path only all the way to green. After you go out in the right side of the fairway it’s completely dry???for a player in his 80s come on Heron Creek.. need to address this issue! Greens are having their issues too! Fairly new greens…

Excellent course would definitely play it again greens were great fairways were in great shape

Course has 3 nines so pace of play is very good. Also it’s almost like beating nag at 3 different courses due to layout. Staff were so polite and professional. Lastly, I forgot my rangefinder in cart and before I got home I had a message from course that they had it in pro shop. They certainly wouldn’t have had to do that as it could have (disappeared) anywhere. Very respectful. This course is on the favorite list for me!

Challenging but fair . Greens are firm and true and hold well. Good amount of slope and undulation on greens . Mostly raised greens and well guarded by bunkers. Nice sand.

Keep drives in fairway and you can score..

Driving is premium really as there is fairway and there is a shot back to fairway if you happen to find tee shot in the jungle.

It’s fun Florida golf
