Could be exceptional
The course is dried out. Some greens were sandy,
It’s been dry , and as a result the course isn’t lush, but I would expect it to be so potentially, - it needs much moisture.
There are 3 9s we were told the beverage cart would be around, but were reminded there were 27 holes to cover.
We never saw the cart.
Excellent practice areas. Water stations strategically situated, but there were no cups at the stations,
We travelled just over an hour to play. The course was highly touted. Worth the trip ? Questionable but would like to play it again, maybe next season .

Very Nice Course
Our twosome played on a Saturday afternoon. There were two foursomes in front of us. They moved fast and we completed the round in four hours. There were rangers on the course monitoring play which seemed to keep people moving.
The course was in great shape. It was challenging with plenty of bunkers and water. The greens were very fast.
We enjoyed the round and will definitely play it again.

Organized, staff friendly
This was our 3rd time on playing the course on my birthday ( St. Patty's Day). Everything runs smoothly from the cart staff to the pro shop check in staff to the starter who not only was friendly but gave us excellent tips and why they were runing 90 degree rule. It doesn't cost more to make you feel welcome! The ranger respectfully moved groups along when needed and kept us posted as to the progress.
Pretty good afternoon price with Teeoff discount. Course is playable and women friendly with more playable distances for my wife than many courses we play. Greens were not slow but ran true. With range balls included, it's a good value. We'll be back when we're in town again.

After making the turn, more groups jumped in front of us to turn our hole 10 into a 25 minute hole and a round of 5 hrs 10 minutes.
Course and employees were great, just a long round.

Loved the track
Heron Creek is not for the timid or inexperienced golfer. It is a very challenging course, but also a very fair course. From the correct Teebox, the water can play a major role in your final score. I played in a group that played from three different boxes. Blue, white and green. Our tee shots were almost always within 15 yards of each other, exactly as they should be. The course is perfectly laid out in that regard. I believe the slope rating should be more difficult than it is. I will be back.

Great track!
Of all the courses I have recently played in the area, this one was in the best shape by far. This course is not for beginners. Lots of water comes into play and the green complexes are indeed complex! I play a lot, so I truly enjoyed it.

Awful pace of play ruins great course
Have played here twice recently and the course management is simply awful. Obviously overbooked all the time. Pryor time it took about an hour to play the first two holes. Recent round was 5 hours with 3 and 4 groups on a hole at one time. Long waits in every tee box. So you wait and wait then feel rushed by group behind right on your tail. No fun playing that like that. It’s a difficult course so tee times must be spread out to accommodate general skill level (and age) of most of the clientele. It’s a great course with lots of challenges on every hole but I won’t be going back-at least not in season because pace is untenable.
