Great maintenance and scenery
Course maintenance could not be better. Greens were impeccable. The problem with my round was that many holes were cart path only due to standing water from rains, which of course the maintenance staff have no control over. There are multiple fairway drains on some holes but seems some more work to be done there. Range was closed also (unsure why) which was disappointing so a long wait between arrival and tee time

Cart path only , don’t play if rained a couple days before for the course hold water bad, ankle deep.

Each hole was unique
Played in first part of Sept and it was very well maintained. Area was blasted with rain the afternoon and evening prior, but we were allowed to play 'cart path only'. That was the right call-even then we had to recover plugged balls. Not course's fault, we were grateful they honored our morning tee time and we took good care of the course (as always). Would highly recommend playing here whenever you get the opportunity! Ice, water and facilities available frequently. But a couple of stops need cups (or have the proshop make sure to tell players to grab a cup at the start). Love it!

Great layout
Although it was very wet from a couple of rainy days. Greens were in good shape and the course was playable (cart path only).

Cart path only was a tough experience
Wide fairways made for long walks. You lose your perspective and made it difficult to spot balls.

Heron Creek Country Club is an amenity for our neighborhood, The Ability to play at the spur of the moment, T-Times are always available and Play when you feel the need to hit a Driver whether 9 or 18 holes is always Nearby..

From entering the front gate our experience was better then we would have expected, the bag men (Ron & Francis) did an exceptional job of greeting and assisting us.
The course while difficult for US was a nice layout and the fairways were in exc ellent shape, while the green, very challenging, but they rolled true.
Upon conclusion of our 9 hole effort the young lady in the refreshemnt cart (Chris?) was pleasant, proefssional and helpful!

Fair amount of fairway and penalties if you don’t stay in it
Quality golf
Heron Creek offers a quality set of three courses all of which are nicely done. There differences between the three which is a good thing. I would highly recommend Heron Creek to anyone looking for a nice course at a fair price. One of my favorites.

Gem of a course!
A great Arthur Hills designed course. I have played the LPGA Hills course many times and this is very reminiscent. A challenging layout to be sure. Not a good course for the beginner. Narrow landing areas and fairways make this a challenge if you tee shot is errant. Conditions were very good. Once the greens completely heal from the punching it will be top notch. Highly recommended!

One of my favorite Florida Golf courses.
I'm a member of another course locally, but when I get in the mood to play another it is always, Heron Creek. 27 Holes and the best practice facility I ever used. The course is always in good shape and they have receive a lot of rain in this area. Try it.

Too slow
Way too many people out there. Very slow. Greens were punched which is fine but putting wasn’t the best experience for the price point. Course was real wet and a few holes were cart path only. Practice putting area was basically no help, no holes to shoot at, under construction. Beautiful course as always but way too hot to be waiting that long on every hole. Group in front of us was asked to speed up play, proceeded to be even slower after that until the bitter end at 18.
