Don’t waste your time or money

This has to be the worst course I’ve ever played in my life. I never thought the course in the Bahamas could be beat as the “worst” course, but today it was over taken. Sad thing, the one in the Bahamas had suffered through a hurricane… this one has no excuses. First, we get there and they didn’t have us scheduled… this should have been a huge clue and we should’ve left. Next, no driving range, they had built houses where it had once been... Should’ve left. Next, we drive to the first tee… the tee boxes are a HOT mess (they have no grass and are all dirt!) when you look down the fairways the overall bones are great but then you realize they look like overgrown cow pastures. Some places the grass is dead and crunchy while other places it needs baling…when you approach the greens they are pitiful. They have crab grass, some other purple grass growing, dead spots, bare spots and sand on them. It became quite comical commentating about this experience. This golf course and playing condition is a total dumpster fire. There is no water on the course, cart girl, lawnmowers, sprinklers or a ground crew. Don’t waste 1 dime on this even if it’s free. Because your time isn’t!!!!

The greens were terrible

Course upkeep was subpar. Greens were aerated, brown, sandy and covered in weeds. Tee boxes sucked. Weeds all over the course. Eglin was better kept for half or less the price of this course.

Post-Post Apocalypse

After reading a previous review it was clear we were walking into a post apocalyptic war zone. As we prepared for battle our expectations were lower than the fiery pits of the underworld. Upon arrival we were greeted by a Dave Jacob’s lookalike (impractical jokers season 8 ) he was funny and offered us moonshine. Which we declined. The course layout is actually really good they just need to work on growing some grass and keeping it mowed down. Not a bad spot to snag a hot deal on golf now if you want to lube up the swing before playing somewhere more expensive and maintained. No water on course to drink when the heat index was over 110 so bring your wa wa.

Course on the Bay

For starters, the course does not have tee times earlier than 7:30. That is a major turn off during the summer when temperatures are pushing 100. Greens were super slow and bumpy. Putts did not roll true. There weee some pretty cool holes but it would definitely help to have played it before. The two par threes on the bay are a nice test in club selection. Overall, it is well worth the money when you don’t want to pay $179 over in Destin.

Okay Course

Tees boxes need a lot of work but it was okay and far from crowded. Enjoyed it.

Course in need of repair. Slow and rough greens.

Course torn up. Greens were hard to play (they were aerated maybe a week ago) only snacks at the turn. No water on the course.

Bluewater Bay

The course needed a good bit of work. Some greens were good but most have bare spots or remnants of aeration in the last month. The course needing mowing and the greens had not been mowed in several days. The greens were slow for putting. It was a beautiful course but needs to be kept up better.

This course needs work

I started playing at this course about a year ago…. Junior rate made it 9$ to play. As a beginner it was great not having to spend 50$ a round. HOWEVER this was quickly turned when they started charging 50$ to play the course….. Tee boxes are abused, fairways are almost always muddy/overgrown. Don’t get me started on the greens…… greens are quite literally sand… If they lowered costs by about 20-30$ it may be worth it. But with Fort Walton Oaks/Pines and Rocky Bayou near by not costing a lot more with hot deals it simply isn’t worth it.

Please go elsewhere

Tee boxes were terrible. Fairways were terrible. Greens, if you want to call them that, were unplayable. Pace of play was great since I assume people do not want to play there. I would suggest going elsewhere to play if you want an enjoyable round.

Spend a little more

Tee boxes were awful, greens were worse. It was worth the $36 but not a nickel more.

Just don’t do it

This course looks like if the apocalypse started a year ago and you went out to play golf on a random course you found on your adventures this would be the conditions you would expect.

Absolutely HORRIBLE course conditions. I’m not a very good player and I’m tellling you, it is the WORST condition of a course that I’ve ever played. The greens were almost unouttable and crazy amount of sand in the fairways. The staff was nice, that’s was the only positive. It should cost about $12-15 to play.
