It is what it is

This course is in reconditioning mode, as they are closing one course and consolidating to one set of 18 - they are even reworking the entire clubhouse. I still enjoy it, and the greens are in good shape. Later this year I think this course will be greatly improved.

Blue water bay

The course is old and in pretty rough condition. Super tight nice layout, but it's a work in progress. They are building a range, and working on the course. I expect everything will improve and will check them out later in the year.

Course closing

The course is working towards closing and going out of business. Not being kept up and driving range and half the course is already closed.

Nice People, Poor Condition

Considering the number of courses in the area, you can definitely do better. Thankfully, it was less than $40 to play. Glad I didn’t pay more.

Greens and Fairways

The Bay Course was in terrible shape. The greens had dirt patches and were very slow. The fairways resembled cow pastures. The Bay Course should close until it’s in playable condition. The Marsh Course however was in much better shape but still needs fairway work.

Average course with rude Marshall

The guy at the shop was nice, he accommodated a friend to play with me and rented him some clubs, didn’t explain too much about the course and its rules, so we had to find out by ourselves that there was a “Marshall’” who wanted not to be ignored by being rude, he asked for our names and proof of payment. I mean, if we knew we had to check in with him we would have done it, the same way he could have introduced himself and explained the rules to start playing. There was some construction around and I didn’t recognize him as the Marshall. Will never play here again, from what I have heard, there are too many nice courses in the area and feel like I just wasted a round at this course.

No water to drink at any hole, just warm Gatorade at the shop.

Conditions are getting worse

Course is not in good shape and is worse every time we go. Apparently the Bluewater Bay community bought it and I hope they put money into it. Restaurant is closed and no snacks or beverages there. But it was cheap, soo glad we didn't pay any more to play.

Pro's and Con's

Pro:

1. Played alone with no one in front of me.

2. Played two balls on most holes. Lot's of practice.

Con:

1. Cart paths only. Wasn't really necessary as the only standing water I saw was on a few areas of cart path.

2. All traps were wet and too firm to hit out of. Couple of traps had standing water.

Suggestion:

Need an extra trailmarker to get to Marsh 9th hole. Luckily a resident steered me in right direction.

Great Value Course

First time playing here and the pace of play was wonderful. Teed off at 8:20 in the morning and we were done at noon. Course is in good condition ! Challenging little course but plenty of opportunities to score. Great views on a couple holes. Greens were slow bc they were grown out so much but that’s really my only complaint. The grill was also closed so we couldn’t grab a post round meal but that’s all right. Overall very friendly and got everything I expected for about $35/ person.
