Bluewater Bay Resort - Marsh Course

Fairways are bad. Ground is hard as a rock with no fluff. Like trying to chip off of concrete. Club house is small. Cook slept in so no food, snacks, or drinks. Greens and Tee boxes were in decent shape. Course was very cheap for 18 holes. Course does offer a couple of nice views of the bay. If looking to have a great score, don’t come here.

Staying in Destin during spring break and looked to book a next day tee time around 8-9am. For the price and proximity to where we stay I would play this course every time I’m in Destin. Not as easy as you would think and overall was worth the price.

Course is a bit rough in places, but greens were good, cost was low for a vacation town, and there are some nice views along the water. Don’t expect a plush course, but all things considered we felt good about our experience.

Many of the fairways and surrounding areas were not only unmowed but had weeds growing up everywhere. It was basically hitting from green tee boxes to greens with wastelands in between. The course doesn’t look like it’s even been attempted to maintain. The layout is decent but in such poor shape you can find many other courses in the area that are far better for the money.

This course has everything. Well maintained greens and was absolutely beautiful. Staff was very Friendly as well.

Good little course, but needs some work on the conditions. You can tell it use to be an awesome course awhile ago. It’s like the ownership changed hands and the new owners stopped taking care of the grounds. Tee boxes were rough with tons of divers, fairways were fair, greens looked great, but haven’t been cut in about a week. It was like putting on carpet. This place has so much potential, but just needs some TLC. Staff was very friendly. Great for the price.

Played twice this year. Very nice great price. First time it ate me up did better the second time. Lots of trees some fairways are a little narrow which isn't good for my game. Going between the Bay and Marsh course is a fun drive.

The course has closed its Lakes nine holes that’s understandable , so they should have rerouted the other two. After finishing #4 you should turn left and play the nine holes at what they call the Marsh and then come back and play the rest of the Bay holes. That would save time and energy and confusion and make it safer for players crossing the roadways. Finishing on #9 of the Bay for 18 holes.
