Bluewater Bay Resort - Marsh Course

It’s a shame that this course fell in the shape it was 2-3 years ago. Staff very friendly and have worked hard on the course. Fairways in a lot better shape. Greens are absolutely bad. Need a lot of work on those to get the course back right. Staff was honest about greens before playing.

This course is in such bad shape, it’s not worth it at half price. Bare patches everywhere. No grass on most tee boxes or greens.

If I was a member here, I would be demanding my money back!!

We had played Bluewater Bay in the past for many years. They have went from 4 nine hole courses down to 2 over the years. Apparently the course had recently been purchased by the members and is currently going through a transition period with new ownership and grounds crews. Hopefully with this change the course will return to good shape like it used to be.

As far as course conditions go, there are greens with little to no grass, some fairways lack grass in a few areas. But you can tell that grass is trying to grow on some of the greens and fairways, but it has a ways to go. I look forward to seeing what this course looks like over the next year or so. I hope it makes a turn around.

I cannot stress this enough DO NOT PLAY HERE. This course is embarrassingly bad. The greens have no grass at all and what grass is there is extremely tall. The tees and fairways are also bare. The starters are very concerned about what 9 everyone starts on even though there was only 4 groups on the course and they still managed to bottleneck everyone by doing that. There is quite literally not one redeemable thing about this course. Not to mention they have the audacity to still charge 60$ for a tee time.

Why is the,course closed on beautiful sunny days at 5? Or even before? I went today at 5:10 hoping to play 9 before it gets dark. And closed. Nobody home. All locked up. And this is not the first time. Why? I thought there was new management making things better? Closing with more than 2 hours left on a beautiful sunny day is not “better”. And like I said this has happened several times this year.

Course is in rough condition, fairway grass is very spotty and the greens are in bad condition .

Dried out, no grass, tons of sand, battlefield greens, hard as a rock dirt and sand course. a total rip off for the price.

This course appeared to be making a come-back about a month ago, but what a difference a month makes. Front desk ladies are great but when we started driving from the parking lot 8 minutes before our tee time down the 5-minute drive to the first tee but were chased down by the cart guy (Joe, the jerk) yelling that he didn't tell us to go. He eventually told us to go ahead since we had started and there was no one in sight when we got to the tee. Once on the course, we found that the course has degraded greatly. The greens were brown packed grass with sandy spots with no grass. The fairways looked like they haven't been watered in weeks, and the tee boxes were mostly dead grass and divots. I live local to this course and it is easily one of the worst courses in the area. After our experience this morning with the course and the cart guy, I won't go back anytime soon even if it were free - mark this one off the list of courses my golf group will play in the near future.

The greens have deteriorated quickly in the past two weeks as the winter rye died off. The course was literally empty, yet Joe the start felt it necessary to chase our group through the parking lot screaming at us for heading to the 1st tee 10 minutes before our tee time. Mind you, it’s a 10 minute ride to the 1st tee. Get there, and not a soul in front of us to worry about “rushing”.

Totally disappointed for what they’re charging to play.

This course used to be very nice, but it's now obvious that Bluewater Bay is not putting any money into the course. The bar/restaurant was closed (in the middle of the day) and there was no cart person.

The greens are in horrible condition and the fairways haven't been seeded in a good while. The only good thing about the rounds was our golf cart. It was ungoverned and would absolutely fly. At least driving it was a blast.

Believe the reviews. One of the worst courses ever Almost no grass in fairways or greens. All seem to be burned out and uncared for. No drinking water on the course. Most holeas on Bay course are different than gps watch databases. Shame on Golfnow for offering it...at any price.
