The staff at the course are polite, engaging, and exceptionally helpful. The amenities such as the golf carts, course restrooms, and clubhouse are also in great condition. The only thing that requires improvement are the greens. Some holes have worn out patches and uneven grass.

From tee box to fairway to green, this course is in excellent condition. Everything is green and smooth. Staff was friendly and helpful Good experience all around. And, BTW, I shot my best score ever on this course today.

This is one of my favorite courses to play mostly because of the condition it's in which has always been excellent. Grass where it should be, greens are looking really good. It was a little slow play today because it was busy. Saw the card girl three times, nice that they have somebody out there during the week. Definitely will play this course again soon

Like a lot of the other reviews say, it’s a good course that just gets overbooked. They have a ranger but I don’t really know what he does, not sure if it’s his fault for not speeding people along, or if they’ve got the tee times way too stacked up. But if you’re a patient person who can stand a 5 hour round it’s a really fun course and the greens are the quickest I’ve played in the Tampa Area, similar speed to Lansbrook which run around a 12-13. Their food at their bar/restaurant was also really good and decently priced.

I've played this course a few times over the past few years. I keep forgetting to do a review, so finally, here it is. This course layout is really my only complaint. It's a tough course with a good bit of hidden hazards (traps and water). This course requires a ":target golf" mentality. You can't just grab driver. There are several holes with very narrow landing areas or water that encroaches into the fairway. For example, #9's tee box (blue) is set at about a 45 degree angle from the fairway, with water down the left side, bunkers along the left side of fairway and conservation area on the right side with very little rough. This 312 yd hole requires a precise tee shot (driver is very risky) to no more than 20 yds past the 150 marker. A longer tee shot will cross into the conservation area. Then you have 130 or 140 yds to an extremely shallow green. Course management is critical.

The conditions, probably the best I've seen on any course in 2023. It's been very dry in west central Florida through April and a lot of courses can't put enough water on the course to keep it greet. HI's was pristine. You won't find nicer greens. Fast, true and receptive. Most of central Fl golf courses at this time of year have had fairways with very thin grass and greens that land balls like a concrete patio. HI's greens would hold a 5 iron shot within a foot and short irons stopped next to the ball mark. Fairways were lush. Traps fluffy. Tee boxes near perfection. Oh...and our beverage service showed up every five holes or so. I had an outstanding time and look forward to a return visit soon.

We stop playing this course about 2 years ago, it was in bad shape, and completely over booked, a 5 hour round was the norm, we did not finish the last 4 times we play.

This time, it looks like either they have new management new greens keeper or alll of it,

The course is very nice again, pace of play is great,

I still would love to see a ranger and move those playing from the back tees who cant ckear the tee box, but they were moving along nicely, we finish in 4 hour and 30 min , that is great.

The last two weekends we finish in 3 and a hskf hour, which was awesome.

They do have a golf school and a very small range, so you might not get to warm up.

T I am very disappointed he greens were good and the fairways okay fopr this time of year but the pace of play was terrible. When you take close to 5 hours to play a round of golf that is really something. Informed the rangers twice about the spped and they also noticed early that there was a 2 hole gap between the group ahead of us and the group ahead of them. By the end of 18 holes, I wopuld guess that there was a 4 to 5 hole gap. This is not the way to play golf. I am very disappointed that nothing was done about the pace of play when complaints were lodged.

Well kept fairways and greens. Challenging course and workers friendly and helpful

I play this course at least once a month and appears to be under new management with all new faces in the pro shop and other staff members. For the second consecutive time arrived at course to learn that we’ll have to wait for golf cart to come off the course. Asked for range balls and told they were out at the time. For those who are not aware this is a floating ball range. I asked how long before balls would be available as I showed up early and told that did not know because the balls were floaters and the wind was blowing in the wrong direction to bring the balls to the area of the range that they prefer. Teed off a few minutes late despite several groups waiting to tee off on #1. This was the start of a five hour round. Ranger on duty passed several times within the first 10 holes only to repeat that they were backed up with little effort to try and speed up the pace of play especially by the group in front of us which was at least a hole behind the ground in front of them. No beverage cart on the course for a Saturday!!! Positive side, Course was in good shape, greens on the slow side but we’re but consistent.
