Golfer Reviews
Sprinklng on greens
At 9:30 on the sprinklers were watering the greens, Had to dodge around them. They should be watering the course at night and not in the morning when the most players are on the course.
Fun, challenging, rewarding and not crowed in the afternoon
This course is an executive course, but don’t be fooled and think it is not challenging especially from the gold tees. You will lose some balls if you are a golfer who sprays your shots.
Check it out, I think you will like it.
No
Took my two sons here to play a round. Short course and close to home. The starter made a big deal about having juniors. Even rushed us on the third hole when the place was not busy at all. The fairways are good. The greens are cut like nice fairways. Fluffy heavy and very slow putting. The tee boxes were incredibly terrible. Crowned. No grass. Sandy. Weeds no where to hit a smooth iron. If you hit a good shot and land in the second cut you may not find your ball. Touch. Tree roots. Patchy. Just felt like I wasted 60$ taking my boys there to play around. Embarrassing, trying show them what golf is suppose to be like. Would love a refund.
State of Confusiion
We were called and told our 9:20 am time was moved to 10::07 am no problem. On arrival the check in lady was clueless about our paperwork (in hand) and the info she did not have from Golf Now.....
After lots of discussion we were sent out to play.....she had NO record of our payment ,order number etc.......
What a mess!
A good value.
This is a mature, eighteen hole executive course. There’s plenty of water on the course and an occasional alligator sighting. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in good condition.
Fantastic day !
after a 20-year Hiatus in golf, my first round of golf was on Friday March 1st at Freedom Fairways. a gorgeous day on a nice course and to top it off my first-ever hole-in-one on the 15th par 3. Unbelievable day.
Nice excutive style course.
This course could be better if the mowed and rolled the greens, The limited access to your ball once you hit it was a pain. To get to the fairway you have to drop a chain that is up unless you are "handicapped."
The pace of play could have been improved with a marshall and people allowing smaller and faster groups to play through.
There is no bar but a nice outside seating area covered.
Bring Your Irons
Fun course. Leave your woods at home and get some iron and wedge practice. Greens were ok and everyone nice at Freedom Fairways. Excellent purse for Seniors out to have fun.
Easy going fun
A pleasant executive course. Nice surroundings to practice iron shots in under three hours. Hole 7 is relatively challenging on this course designed for easy going senior seniors. Nicely kept bunker-free greens are a boon!
