Nice for 70yrs and older or less experienced golfer
Good course to work on your short game. Be prepared for slow pace
An ok Short course
The employees at this course were great , the greens were quite long (fuzzy) First 3 greens need a lot of work but the rest were overall good, I liked the lay out and would play again !
Course somewhat challenging
Greens of 1st four holes in bad shape due to vandalism. rest of greens were very slow. Course has several challenging holes that requires some thought. Not a pushover course. Would like to play there again.
Fun but not well taken care of
We had fun playing this executive course, but the greens were very long and didn’t roll well. The layout was fun to play but didn’t pass by the club house at the turn. There also wasn’t a snack person driving around to purchase snacks from. I didn’t dislike the course I just missed some of the standard amenities offered at most courses.
Great short course
The 3300 yard par 63 executive course is perfect for working out your short game. It has nine par 3's and nine par 4's set within varying water hazards that prove to be a test to accuracy and club selection. The average round is 3 hours and is an enjoyable setting to play. Freedom Fairways Golf has seasonal as well as annual memberships and is open to the public for daily play.
No 'heads-up' from GolfNow or from course starter.
Discovered after first tee shot that flag was not in green but in fairway in front of green, with a white circle drawn around it. Same for the second hole and then again for third hole.........Maybe seeding the greens.?? That's fine, but let your customer know before they pay their money for 18 holes of golf.
Quaint little Par 3.
Good course for someone who wants to play a quick 18 holes. I can play the entire course in about 2-2 1/2 hours.
Sprinklng on greens
At 9:30 on the sprinklers were watering the greens, Had to dodge around them. They should be watering the course at night and not in the morning when the most players are on the course.
Fun, challenging, rewarding and not crowed in the afternoon
This course is an executive course, but don’t be fooled and think it is not challenging especially from the gold tees. You will lose some balls if you are a golfer who sprays your shots.
Check it out, I think you will like it.
No
Took my two sons here to play a round. Short course and close to home. The starter made a big deal about having juniors. Even rushed us on the third hole when the place was not busy at all. The fairways are good. The greens are cut like nice fairways. Fluffy heavy and very slow putting. The tee boxes were incredibly terrible. Crowned. No grass. Sandy. Weeds no where to hit a smooth iron. If you hit a good shot and land in the second cut you may not find your ball. Touch. Tree roots. Patchy. Just felt like I wasted 60$ taking my boys there to play around. Embarrassing, trying show them what golf is suppose to be like. Would love a refund.
State of Confusiion
We were called and told our 9:20 am time was moved to 10::07 am no problem. On arrival the check in lady was clueless about our paperwork (in hand) and the info she did not have from Golf Now.....
After lots of discussion we were sent out to play.....she had NO record of our payment ,order number etc.......
What a mess!
A good value.
This is a mature, eighteen hole executive course. There’s plenty of water on the course and an occasional alligator sighting. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in good condition.
Dial in your irons
Perfect course to play with your high irons. Slow play, but with such a beautiful day, I didn’t seem to mind
Fantastic day !
after a 20-year Hiatus in golf, my first round of golf was on Friday March 1st at Freedom Fairways. a gorgeous day on a nice course and to top it off my first-ever hole-in-one on the 15th par 3. Unbelievable day.
